I was walking him through the park when he attack this bird(had adult and baby feathers) it looked like a small-medium sized robin. It wouldn't move, so i left it for 5 mins, because i figured it might just be frightened. when i came back, it was gone with a pile of feathers and a little blood. it probably ran or flew away. my question is if this were to ever happen again, what would i do with the bird? how do you move it? what's some basic bird first aid?

If the bird lost its blood feather it is dead because that is like cutting your wrist and not going to the hospital & begals are naturaly hunting dogs they will kill any thing living not you though lol.
But what you can do to help it is get some gloves, 2 shoe boxs a pillow case in it so they can be comfulable, a first aid kit peroxcide, and a lamp.First get your gloves becuase a bird carry dieastes put the bird in they box at first with no pillow case get the peroxcide and poor it on the area that it bleeding then if u have a first aid kit get the glazes and tape.Once you have clean it put the glazes on the area and tape it down then get anouther box and put the pillow case in it and put the bird on its belly or side and turn n the lamp so it can stay warm. Take it to the aspca hope this answers your qustion.:P

Unfortunately if you touch a baby bird, it's mother might not want it anymore. It also might be carrying a disease. So you should never touch it. A lot of time birds get stunned, and it takes them a little while before they can move again. If you are really concerned you should call the humane society or animal control.

According to the vets hereabout, that's life and that's nature. If little birds didn't die somehow, we'd be overrun with birds. They say to just leave the bird alone. In our state, it's illegal to raise wild birds unless you're licensed.

My cat knocked two baby blue jays out of their mama's nest, and we thought one had a broken wing. We gathered them into a shoe box and popped them into someplace warm. Our next door neighbor knew a person who raises them, took them to her, and they matured under her care.
