Just a quick vote to see what Americans think about the law to give illegal immigrants amnesty.

On the fence. While I don't like the idea of just forgetting about the illegal entry issue, I do like the idea that by giving amnesty, these workers will no longer want to work for peanuts and will have to pay taxes on their wages. Right now, many American workers are unemployed because their jobs are being given to illegals who are much cheaper to hire. The employer doesn't cover them with unemployment insurance, workers compensation insurance or give any type of benefits. The amnesty puts these illegals on the books and makes them less attractive to employers. Many that don't want the amnesty have a problem with the fact that the illegals should not be rewarded for what they did. With this sentiment, I agree. However, there is also an element that wants to keep things the way they are so they can continue to profit by employing the illegals at such low cost. The amnesty if done correctly, could result in a benefit for the taxpayers.

What sux is: They pick fruit and collect welfare, they don't need citizenship to reap the benefits of being one.

Probably voting independent since both parties suck.Born and Bred in these here United States and I say NO amnesty. Take no prisoners!

Sure and while we are at it why don't we pardon all the people sitting in prisons throughout the entire country?
If you break the law you shouldn't be rewarded for it...send them back to where they came from.

I have yet to hear of ANYONE that is not an illegal or related to some, that is for this or any other bill that gives any kind of legal status to people that broke our laws to get here.
