I want to cook a Campbell's Supper Bake, but it says I need to cover the baking dish with foil. I don't have any. Can I put a lid over it and still cook it the same amount of time? Or do I need to add time? Or cook it without a covering at all? I need help!

Man, I hate that when it happens. I have in the past place a lid on my dish, but you may need to check often to make sure it is done enough. It will be fine, just keep and eye on it and you'll be fine. Next item on grocery list: foil

Yes, the foil is important. Having no foil will just overcook the surface. The foil acts like a "furnance" it keeps locks the steam in making it reach temperatures hotter than boiling water and also keeps it moist. If the lid is over it, im sure it'll be the same.

So, if you can, ur first priority is to get foil. If not, then use the lid. Cook at same time.

If I run out of Aluminum Foil I use a Cookie Sheet to cover the other pan/dish. Don't cover it completely, leave an edge open on the baking dish.

Cooking it with a lid on is fine. It should cook in the same amount of time.

Covering the dish with a snug fitting lid will work just fine.

If the lid was made for the baking dish you are using it should be fine.

Lay a cookie sheet over the top of the dish, and it should take the same amount of time. :)

you can cook it w/o foil, but it will come out a little different and it will take a little longer. my husband has found that another pan on top will work just a great, a little vented on one corner.
