They are high in Calories, Fat, and Carbs, so no, they aren't really good for you. You can make them of course, just make sure to not eat the whole batch in one day ;) Maybe make only half of a batch (so its impossible for you to eat to, to, to much) and only eat one a day, no more. Savor them, and you'll enjoy them even more and won't gain weight from them!
Hope this helps.

Here's what I would do:
-- Use whole wheat flour
-- Add an extra banana in lieu of the egg (banana and apple sauce are great egg substitutes)
-- Apple sauce for the butter (apple sauce also works for oil/margarine and butter as well)

However, after doing a search for "vegan banana bread", I found this recipe from VegWeb, which is one of my favorite sites for recipes.

This recipe from Veg Family looks similar:

Also, I don't think margarine (the traditional kind like Country Crock or Blue Bonnet) is healthy. Every one seems to have partially or fully hydrogenated oils which are fake and not healthy. I use Smart Balance which is made with natural oils.

I hope this helps.

PS: I also have a vegan chocolate cake recipe (with home made chocolate frosting) that I make with whole wheat flour and apple sauce for the oil. Yummy-ness without the guilt.
