If you do not like chocolate chips. just don't add them.

I don't know for certain, but you might be able to use Hershey's chocolate syrup... is it the chips you don't want for some reason, or the chocolate flavor? The syrup wouldn't harden like melted chips would, but it might work... you'd just have to give them a bit more time to dry. Good luck~

this is the only recipe i could find but i am sure you can leave the choclate chips out. I make this but i use butterscotch chips.
1/2 cup butter
1 cup creamy peanut butter
2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 (17.5 ounce) package crispy corn and rice cereal
1 pound confectioners' sugar
Melt the peanut butter with the butter or margarine and the milk chocolate. Pour over the cereal and toss until well coated.
Place the coated cereal in a large paper sack then add the confectioners' sugar, fold down the top of the bag and shake to coat.

I wouldn't suggest serving a puppy chocolate. Also, why are you making your own puppy chow? Purina makes a good brand and so does Eukanuba for much less the effort.
