I am in 8th grade and I am 13 have wanted to become a marine biologist since 5th grade. So I was wondering how I would start my studies, what colleges would be best for that major and if I could start to study now in my grade somehow, how much it would pay, what kinds of animals and plants i would be working with, where i could work and any other information on being a marine biologist. I will really appreciate any help Thank You *Heather*

The best would near ocean's...you are going to want hands on. Have you thought of seeing a college counselor ahead of time and getting ideas? Alot of colleges will allow you to make appointments and lead you in the right direction...there may be scholarships that you are unaware of and that are available...even summer internships to work for a marine biologist so you can get an idea...colleges have all that info but you don't know if you don't inquire;) Good luck!

Marine biology is hard to get into, there are lots of MB degrees and few jobs. It is a fade degree right now.
