One nice thing about being an atheist is that I'm smart enough not to get myself into those situations.

Lol terrible. a million. This has no longer something to do with the life of God and would not propose he relatively exists. additionally, a counter argument is additionally run that atheists and agnostics have not got the stress of a sky daddy finding down upon them and monitoring their each and each concept and action, that's conducive to happiness. 2. If atheism is right then there isn't any ideal and incorrect outdoors of the human mind? What does that even mean. Are you speaking approximately morality, or actuality? In the two case, what you suggested would not make any experience. 3. it is now no longer sparkling that believing in a miles better power is greater conducive to happiness. easily, i could argue the different. So believing in atheism heavily isn't pointless and irrational. you additionally are taking a probability of going to the Hindu hell, alongside with the full distinctive religions that have ever been created by mankind. Pascal's wager is poor reasoning.

I believe that I have the sole power to not become helpless, or powerless in controlling my life. In result of me being a good person, helping others, and doing my damn best to be a good citizen, I think there will always be people to help me if things were to get tough. I have enough personal strength and will power that I can change my own destiny instead of waiting for it.

Not what you are probably getting at, I wouldn't suddenly turn to one of an untold number of gods we invented. Certainly not big bible daddy.

I don't know what I would do. I doubt there is any situation I can't handle myself or with the help of friends and family, and if there is, at least I can turn to them for consolation.

You reckon not ONE of the people in the WTC asked their god to help them? No-one having a heart attack with no-one else around? No-one whose car broke down in the middle of the desert with no water? When your time's up, asking for help won't make a jot of difference. It proves either that god is perfectly indifferent to our suffering, or there is no god.
