The shoe genre that you are questioning is in fact a space project; It is for moon walking. The mass majority of people will complain that the shoes are too heavy, this is exactly the intention.
Luna has less mass than Earth. A denser shoe is required to counter the lack of gravity on Luna. The springs in the shoe are just spare parts for an emergency repair.

Don't believe the commercials of all the people running in shox where they make the bouncy noise when they land. Shox are NOT good for running as they are heavy and more importantly, they are Nikes. Stick to a brand that primarily makes running shoes such as Asics, New Balance, Brooks, or Mizuno. Their shoes are designed for more miles and experienced runners wear them. Plus, Nikes can be more expensive than other shoes. Also, try not to shop at Finish Line, Footlocker, etc. Go to a specialty running store.

I find that the shocks are too heavy for running. You'd be better off with a light trainer than a nike shox, which are more for support and fashion. A running store will get you in a trainer that will last longer and be lighter.

Don't go with the shox, they may look sweet and all, but they are not the best running shoes, yes they are comfortable(I hope that would be for the fact they are $ 100) but the shox wear out easily and dont do very well. Try Asics, such as the GT series they are so nice and look pretty cool, and are cheaper.

They can be used for running, but for most "real" runners they're too heavy and there are far better suited and good running shoes available. These tend to be almost a fashion statement. The heel cushioning in the Shox just plain sucks!

for most people, the shox are far too heavy to be an actual running shoe... especially the TL's (full length shox).
the only exception would be if you are overweight, or just have a very large structure, and are in need of major cushioning.
nike has many other lighterweight options that you should check out.
the air zoom elite III's are fantastic
the air structure triax's have gotten great reviews for their stability
the air equalon's are great for overpronators

I think they are more of a fashion trainer. I run in Asics myself, but I think Nike's Bowerman range, things like the Zoom and Pegasus are more their running shoes.

i replaced into attempting to exercising in Shox and progressed sore shins and hips so do not do it! rather, i might propose going to a professional working shop and talk to somebody who works there. maximum of them furnish a provider the place you run on a treadmill and that they video your working form and propose a shoe based on the way you progression. you do not would desire to purchase the shoe there and then, in case you recognize what you're searching for for, you would be waiting to discover them on line. fairly get assessed nonetheless, I did and it enormously plenty cured all my issues (That and a few particular stretches) Im uncertain the place you reside yet once you're around the London Docklands area, there is an exceedingly stable shop at South Quay, close to the floating chinese language eating place!
