all good suggestions on the walls so far.
As far as John Cena goes have some posters framed and matted. pick frames and matting to complement the other girly colors in your room.

How about a nice heavy canvas material its very durable, comes in an off white to cream color I think because of its durability it would make a nice cover over the paneling, also on one of the walls if there is no window in the room you can get light colored curtain panels with a nice curtain rod and fake that theres a window...sounds silly but looks nice,if there is a window in the room I would suggest going bigger then the window with your panels and go floor to ceiling.
Really there are a few different ways you can go,you could even get real thin particle board paint it real cute and measure it out to fit that space, you will just have to play around with a few different things and see how you like it.
I think the particle board from your hardware store and some light pant would look great )(whats the landlord going to do about a few nails>??? nothing probably, good luck and have fun doing it..that's most important!!

I would find some real pretty material in a girly color that you like and drape it on the wall. A real pink sheer would look good. Start at a very top corner and use small brad nails or a staple gun and hang it accross the wall at the very top. If there is molding, just slowly remove it first and then rehang it after you add the fabric You can make it look like curtains or pull it tight to cover the wall. If you do that, you can still hang your pictures on the wall over that.
I would also add some real pretty curtains.

my kid didn't like his so I took matchstick bamboo shades hung them from the ceiling. stuck an electric light low wattage behind them and made them look like soji screens. very cool. (but he only had 1 paneled wall) or how about that scrapbook paper they sell. maybe you could buy different colors and patterns and use a glue gun or some heavy duty glue to make like all different squares and designs. or cover 1 wall with picture frames. real ones , homemade cardboard ones, just any coordinating frames. that would keep ya busy all summer.haha or just ask for enough cotton gauze for 1 wall and see what Mom says

he may not let you paint the walls but what about hanging up curtains in front of the walls in most of the room. Making more like fabric walls? You could pick a curtian that has the natural wood color in it so it doenst clash with the walls. Then you could string your posters from the rods to hang in front of hte curtains like a gallery. GOod luck!

Hang fabric from the walls. It'll cover the wood paneling. You could pick colors/patterns that would compliment the color of the wood so it won't seem out of place.
