As some of you may have noticed I was violated by the Y/A powers to be for asking the following"

"Can I pray for you about something?"

No reason other than that I violated "community guidelines" was given. I have asked that my question be reinstated for 2 main reasons 1) the question was was posted in the R & S catagory and is perfectly appropriate for the catagory, as most every belief system in the world engages in some sort of prayer.
2) I did not try to convince any one of my beliefs in the question, and I left it opened to all community members to respond.

I didn't even get a chance to copy any of the requests I was sent. So was anyone offended? A few were, some were not happy and critical of me, but it is their right to disagree with me, so why violate the question? any thoughts?

YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE, and so dose God.

I will be putting this one out for a vote. I do want to thank you all for your votes of confidence this is only my 2nd violation, and I thank God His word is still being presented and many of us are doing our best to make His message known.

God bless to all

extended to the community and then to the community for voting.

My question was flagged and removed in the senior section (first time I visited there) 2 days ago,

because I asked "I am an American Pastor living in the Philippines, Is any one interested in coming to the Philippines for a short time or (long time) to help in our Ministry here?"

This is a question. ( praying for folks) Can I pray for you about something?"
Do you want to pray about something as In something for someone or just something. I see nothing wrong with this question they are unfair. It is a question.

WOW you can pray for me. That is sonething...I have Very serve canal Stenosis and the Dr. say I will be paralyzed from the neck down soon. I been in a lot of pain and I am about to loose my Internet and phone and electric. I have no income except for my friend and she pays all she is able to. She a sister to me.
However I do believe God heals so you can pray something good for me if you want, and I will for you.
But I think they should let you ask. WHY NOT?
I think it is very thoughtful and kind question
Thanks for asking. And yes you sure can. God Bless you abundantly.
May the Lord bless you, and keep you: make his face shine upon you, and be gracious unto you: lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace.

Twice I asked for prayer for my son yesterday. I received 2 violations for that.I then went to those asking questions and asked for prayers there. I got 2 violations for that as well.I then started emailing those I know and asked for prayers that away. And today I have a question posed within the guidelines and I am thanking all those who have prayed and are still praying. By the way, please pray for my son Cody and asked those you know to do the same for him. I believe in prayer, and I intend to knock down the gates of hell that have been holding him for to long now.At present there are people all over the world praying for my son.God Bless You!

that is so sad ppl do that! if the non believers would go else where we wouldn't have that problem! if they see its a prayer then why go to it? and they call us stupid. now if that's not the pot calling the kettle black! they might can stop things on here but what bout our jobs, stores, neighborhoods? they might as well give it up! there are more Christians in the world then non believers. it might be alot on r&s but not in the world. of all catagories they choose to be on a relgious and spiritual. am i missing something? they want the Lord!! otherwise they would answer some where else.

I don't need prayers but appreciate the offer. I guess yahoo decided you violated their rules. You know they seem to have a habit of handing out violations as they see fit. Some questions that aren't in violation get zapped, some that are violations never get touched. It doesn't make a lot of sense.

Oh and don't expect yahoo to do anything about it. They respond once and that's it.

Doesn't bother me other than the fact I think prayer is just a placebo and to me praying for people you don't know seems odd. Doesn't your god already know they need help? How is someone who doesn't even know the person he's praying for going to have an effect on god who already knows the outcome? It just doesn't make sense, but I don't care if you ask to do it - it's your time

This has been happening for some time now. It is seen as chatting. Most of us got the same violation a few weeks ago asking about a regular that was in the hospital.

Here is my solution, when I see a question that does not interest me seriously, or one that I have no spontanious bit of humor to add to...I simply do not get involved....(and I do often see questions, that are offensive in nature and are obviously asked in a baiting, smug or arrogant manner)....I simply whisper,to myself,Tsk,Tsk,snug my diapers and proceed to another question... It seems lately like a reality show...we just keep kicking people off the island, until only a handful are left...what's the point? There is no Yahoo prize for the last R&S participant standing. Amen. your friend,Bonsai Bobby

You violated Yahoo guidelines because it was not a blasphemous question. You asked a serious Godly question and therefore it upset one of the unGodly responders here and therefore charged you with abuse. That's all it takes. I've been charged for many Godly Q&A here.
I say God bless you.
