It's the one where they're at that party and the guy says "Having Geico makes me any less a caveman?"????

These advertisers are on lsd I swear... I feel like I need to be high just to understand what the "underlying" message is...!

Simple -- The cavemen are offended by Geico's "So easy a caveman could do it" ads. The caveman who bought Geico insurance is seen by his fellow cavemen as a traitor to his kind.

It's actually a pretty slick marketing campaign. The early commercials suggested that switching to Geico was very easy. So easy that someone as dumb as a caveman could make the switch. But, in later commercials, the Cavemen have tried to show that they aren't all that dumb. One of them apparently did switch to Geico, and now he feels he's being stereotyped (that's he really IS dumb).

I've heard that there's going to be a Caveman series coming out in the fall.

All in all, very clever.

Ok its like saying wearing pink makes you less of a man.

The caveman went with Geico and the other caveman is angry with him because he is stating that he should be against the company because of all the anti-caveman references it has made. So therefore he is less of a caveman for going against his own kind.

Hope that helps...I was going to use another reference that was a bit clearer involving the urban legend around Famous Amos cookies but I figured that would just piss people off here so...hope that helps! :)

I have no clue either. You seem to see a Geico TV ad at least once an hour. I had Geico insurance for years but recently switched to another carrier. Geico spends millions more in advertising than most other companies, which is inflating their rates.

I've noticed how wierd commercials are getting.

The berries and cream starbursts, the opera rabbit for skittles, the wierd cold stone ones (the heiress one was hilarious though), and that uber creepy troll one for... whatever car that was

I totally agree with you. You have to be practically as cracked out as the commercials to get them.

It is made to get your attention one way or another but you don't need to understand anything.

The whole jist of a commercial or any advertising is not always getting a message to you.

Its to get noticed and that is what happens....curiousity is what they are after.

I hear yea! I hate them, they do not make any sense when it comes to selling car insurance...

And I heard they just gave the two cave men a sitcom.. I doubt it will more than 3 episodes!
