Didn't the Jews do god a favor by killing Jesus (allegedly)
Jesus was sent to Earth as a sacrifice for people's sins. If the Jews hadn't tortured and killed him, would god have failed. Finally wouldn't Christians owe the jews a favor, not only for being the first monothiestic religion and setting the entire basis for christianity with the old testament, don't they owe the jews for killing Jesus and washing away all of their sins

That makes sense. That's why it's not part of the religion.

God didn't need anyone's help... His intent was probably that Jesus would die in the temple after a respectful ceremony (with or without human assistance). That said, Jesus certainly didn't blame the Jews or Romans for his death (per John 10:17-18, he gave his life, no man took it from him), so neither should we. The Jews should have a special place in the heart of every Christian, Jesus came to the world through them.

Actually the Jews are meant to be the chosen people of God.

It is silly to believe that God, after thousands of years of killing gentiles and protecting his chosen people from being tainted by them, would all of a sudden change his tune and involve them into the fold.

It would really stink to be a gentile killed right before Jesus died.

1st Jesus Death was directed by God "for God so loved the world......"
2nd Not the Jewish people only The Romans had their part in the torture and murder of Jesus
3rd Jesus died for OUR sins. YOUR sins cost Jesus His life.

We are grateful to the nation of Israel because Jesus came out of them. But our gratitude will alway be unto God and His Son Jesus Christ.

You do have a point; however, I wouldn't necessarily categorize it as a favor. It is very sad that anyone need be sacrificed to suffer for the sins of the whole world.

Christians do recognize and honor the sacredness of the Jewish faith. As for my religion, we are constantly honoring and remembering our Jewish heritage in the form of our services. In fact, we publicly proclaimed through our church leaders our love for this heritage.

That sounds like it makes sense but there's probably something wrong with it.
