If yoiu believe that there is no afterlife/eternity/reward, then yes.

But, if you have any distinction in this regard, then your paradise awaits.

In the meantime, you should be acting on the conviction that your choices made here on earth will determine your paradise.

Personally, I believe that God wishes for us to make the best of your lives - as a testament to Him. I believe that if, for instance, you are able to manage money in a manner that your spiritual life is not diminished, your worldly treasures will be great - making paradise only that much better.

No one can really answer this question for you. Some will give a truly anti-God retort, while others will answer back with a 'Godlier" message than above. These will probably find a way to even try to knock others opposed to their beliefs. Both sides won't get any closer to the heart of an answer for you. Only you can resolve this.

Good luck - hoped I gave you a little light to your cause.

This question simply seeks support for an answer you seem to have already decided upon.

In any case...if this is where we belong, and where we were meant to be (the only place we were meant to be for as long as we exist that is...which to any mere mortal being can be from less than one minute to at the very best 120ish years) then it would mean that in order to make a paradise it would require us to do so. This would be the most depressing notion since man has tried to make paradise on earth throughout all history...and has always failed to do so for the entirety of mankind...surely some wealthier or powerful individuals and their followers lived in their engineered paradises/palaces, etc. on earth until they too died and went into the dirt, but they did go into the dirt in the end no matter how much of their limited time was spent in their homemade paradises.

If this is all we have to look forward to...here on earth, left to our own deficient devices and corrupted powers of authority, as we have proven them to be...(look to history...our rare examples of humanity, benevolence and righteous action are far overshadowed by our sins considering we are the most intelligent life forms on the planet), then it is simply too depressing a thought.

On the other hand, as a fallen and deficient people, with no hope for true joy and true selfless love by our own extremely limited power, if God is knocking on our hearts with an alternative offer...a life eternal in a true paradise with Him where there is no death, no hatred, war or sin of any kind...a gift that is given freely when one believes that Jesus Christ died to pay for our sins so we could have eternal life in heaven...I personally chose to know God because I know we are all sinners, that we do not deserve to be saved, but God loves us all so much and equally that He desires to save as many from every nation on the earth that are willing to seek Him out, and gave His only begotten Son so we would not have to pay the penalty for our life of sins. Not only that, which is more than enough for me, but it is also a very logical conclusion.

Sure. It's the difference between direct action on pollution and greenhouse gases and "wishing" that some skypixie is going to make a new Heaven and a new Earth for you. Human effort is what it takes.

How strong an environmentalist do you think a Christian is going to be if he thinks he's going to be resurrected to a New Earth with clean air, and any pollution and hot summers and lung cancer he gets is just part of the "Tribulation"? Now, imagine a country of 280 million prosperous people where that attitude is in charge...pee-yew! The air will be like soup.

I don't know whether we "belong" here or not.... we evolved here, and it is unlikely we will ever get a colony of humans to survive anywhere else. But when it is over, hon, it is over....no one survives their own death.
