The Navy provide $0 for the wife and child. If you are married, your husband will get a housing allowance based on a dependants rate based on his pay grade and the zip code of his actual duty station. It is not paid on the amount of children you have, just paygrade and zip code.

It depends on rank and location, it is one rate for the entire family. As an E-5 in Maryland I received $1450.00 per month. In Oklahome it would be significantly lower because of cost of living. If the soldier is deployed and the family stays behind they still get that money plus separation pay, the soldier would get per diem and maybe hazardous duty pay. The military takes care of the families pretty well.

BAH is entirely dependant on your paygrade and location. Acompanied orders, BAH will be based on your duty stration, even if you choose have your family live elsewhere. for Unacompanied orders( training and Remote tours like Diego Garcia or Bharain) BAH will be based on your family's location.
