Its not always the Devil's fault.
Most often when we get into trouble its our own fault.

The devil leads you into temptation but you have to resist. I definitely believe that you reap what you sow but the enemy is always ready to trap you into something shiny at first sight.
I cannot come slap you in the face and then pretend that the devil did it. It is silly, we are free to choose which path we walk in.

You're trying to create a paper tiger so you can rip it up.
"Reaping what you sow" is more of a Pagan teaching.
Sometimes 'bad' things are the result of sinfulness.
That sinfulness can be the result of temptation.
Temptation comes from the devil, to show our weakness.
But the Good News is that we're forgiven!

No, the belief that it's the devil's fault all the time is not a Christian belief.
Basically bad things happen for three reasons:
1.) God tests us.
2.) The devil does it
3.) Just because,....
That's life!

It's not the devil's fault. You are right, that thinking is wrong theology.
BUT the devil and his demons influence in many ways for evil to be committed through the person; who is responsible for their actions. Like Judas.

Are you kidding? We Catholics are right up there when it comes to guilt! lol
But seriously, A lot of us believe that we took a misstep off the "right path", when things go wrong, And try to figure out what we can learn from the experience.

And if God created the Devil, knowing it would all turn out this way, how can any of it be our fault, and why did God think that creating a being that would lead to the creation of Hell and millions of people roasting for eternity would be worth it?

Well, satan is a liar and the father of lies. He also tempts us to do evil.
The bible tells us, we sin when we are drawn away by our lusts. It is always satan who does the tempting though, God never does.Since he is evil, and behind all evil..he is ultimately to blame for all of it...however..we also have to take responsibility for our own choices. God gives us a way out from every temptation..we need only look for that
