Corneal ulcer 8 years ago. My type was a virus that attacked the cornea. I couldn't look in the light without experiencing severe pain, but I couldn't shut my eye because it hurt more. (My retina was unable to dilate due to the infection.)

We went to the ER and I waited there for hours before a doctor even saw me. I was just sitting there for hours with no concept of time, completely out of it from the pain. I finally got on antibiotics, but I had to spend a week in a dark room with heavy curtains to avoid the light and I couldn't do anything except listen to music because the light from a TV or computer gave me a horrible headache and my eye would start hurting again. (And I obviously could not read in the dark.)

...Then a year after the first I had a second ulcer. And I had a similar reaction a month ago caused by a test on my retina. I have permanent scars on my eye from the ulcers. Luckily, it does not obscure my vision and I am still able to see. I feel very fortunate. :)

Oh man! good one. Well....just last Winter I had a pretty new girlfriend of I guess a few months. I think I was on a Sushi phase and she came over and spent the night. In the middle of the night, I just felt this huge not in my stomach and felt super sick. I ran to the bathroom an had fluids shooting out each end of my body. While I was sitting down doing my thing, I was also having to lean over and yack into the bath tub. It was pretty bad, and the whole time I think this girl could hear me in the bathroom. UHG! was not fun. I am very thankful the tub was situated how it was.

Right now, at this minute, I have osteo-arthritis in the severe degenerative stages. I've had surgery twelve times, I have twelve cadaver bones in me, twelve of my own hip bones in me, I have a ten inch plate in my left hand, I'm skipping surgery on my right hand and my left knee, I'm tired of getting cut up.
I have 32 screws and 32 pieces of gold wire in my spine. I have a had time walking and, am in pain most of the time.
I may not win because I'm going to live although at times I don't feel like it. I pray to the Lord that I'm not any worse. I believe He has a plan for me although I don't know what. I won't ask questions, when I see the County bus with the kids that are retarded and worse off then me, I'm thankful that I'm not one of them. I pray for them.

well i have suffered with excrutiating pain for nearly 7 months because of my infected tonsila. I could not eat and even drink as they bled apart from the pain.I had even difficulty in talking and taking deep breath!!
It got worse as my infection got immuned to the antibiotics so...it prolonged...it was by far the most painful one for me...it ached so much and yet i could not cry...as it ached more...could not talk to anybody as well as i am in a different country, far away from my parents and everybody..the pain was aggravated also because of my homesickness...!!
