My hair is perpetually dry but these are my standbys and the ones I swear by. I will break it down by price brackets:
Inexpensive
Lustrasilk Shea Butter Cholesterol Plus (works great as a leave in and when you add olive oil to it and make it a deep conditioner)
Lustrasilk Olive Oil Cholesterol
Silk Elements conditioners (the ones in the jar is the best)
Silk Elements Revive and Restore
Elasta QP DPR-11
La Bomba conditioner (jar)
Somewhat pricey (based on price per ounce)
Organic Root Salon Olive Oil Replenishing conditioner (this is the best conditioner I have ever used. And it detangles to boot) Get the sample packs to test drive it.
Expensive
Elucence Moisture Benefits conditioner
Kenra Moisturizing conditioner
Biolage Ultra Hydrating Balm (smells like lemongrass)
Mizani Moisturefuse
Keracare Humecto (in the jar or bucket)
Design Essentials conditioner (I forget the name exactly but this stuff is golden)
This is a short list since I am no where near my stash. Good luck.

I like Infusium. It really detangles and makes my hair soft. I also used the Pantene Relaxed and Natural before I started to use Infusium. Both work well with my hair which is also dry. Have you heard of Profectiv products? They have alot of products for african americans that promote hair growth. I have used some of their products also.

I myself had that same issue. I have very thick hair and it was very unmanageable. I go to a family friend and she puts a perm on my hair about every month. She uses Soft & Beautiful. After my visit to the salon, I go home and wrap my hair using a do-rag. It adds silkyness and body to my hair. I never wear my down when I sleep. I also keep my hair moisturized with Oil Sheen. Dressing oil weighs down the hair, making it unable to breathe. I do flat-iron my hair every other night. However, too much heat damages my hair, so I usually keep up the routine. I wash my hair every month. It holds body longer. Hope I can help you any.:)
