... from overseas control, why is there a trend now to forsake the very God who granted American citizens that liberty?

Are we, as citizens of this wonderful country, taking liberty for granted?

Yes many do take our liberty and freedoms for granted. I have witnessed many people thru out my life talk trash to the very men and women who fight to give us our continued freedom and liberty.They talk trash about our wonderful Creator God Almighty, that continues to bless this country in many ways and , they want Him out of everything. I pray one day they all wake up and realize this country would not have all the freedoms and liberties that it does have without the grace of God and without all the men and women who have fought and died for these very freedoms.

This is one of my favorite myths from early American history: The Puritans supposedly left England to "escape religious persecution."

The fact is they were KICKED OUT because they were persecuting everyone else, and plotting to forcibly overthrow the English government in order to form a theocracy. This is well-documented in British history.

Trust me, I never take our liberties for granted, especially since we have a president who, on nearly a daily basis, expresses his contempt for the Bill of Rights. There are religious forces loose in our country who are attempting to turn us into a Christian version of Iran. The minute we stop challenging them, we are lost. We need to "forsake God," in a hurry. We will never mature as a country-- or as a species, as far as that goes-- until we lose our bizarre preoccupation with mythical beings. Logic, reason, knowledge, compassion, and science are our true and only hope.

In order to worship God freely, we have to accomplish this:

Here's the simply Solution for religion:

Eliminate religion from Your Life, A.S.A.P.;

Freedom of religion is Freedom FROM religion; religion is Spiritual fraud;

Universal Truth eliminated religion from Spirituality a long time ago;

Accomplish this:

Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save Your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs and start Your journey back home, to Heaven.

<<<<<<< UnConditional Love is the only answer >>>>>>>

Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.

Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!

We are taking liberty for granted. The idea of God and even the our pledge of allegence is taken away from the schools. So we are being educated in some other direction.

The founders of America sought freedom of religion not just to worship their christian God. However we are taking our freedom for granted, that's why so many people are on here judging everyone else, also why there are so many poor in the richest country in the world.

The word "separation of church and state" does now not exist within the U.S. charter. There is an established order clause, which forbids the established order of faith by way of the federal government. All that suggests is that the federal government can let us know all we need to become a member of a targeted church, or convert to a targeted "accepted" faith. It does now not say that devout expression will have to under no circumstances be practiced in public or in politics. In reality, the established order clause prohibits the state from interfering with the loose recreation of faith. The common reason used to be to preserve the state from interfering with the church, that's why there used to be a time while persons might search asylum within a church and the regulation might now not pass after them if the church determined to guard them. Things have transformed, America isn't the equal country. Freedom of faith has been changed with freedom from faith. The fall of America is ordinarily very close, I wish now not, however I consider so.

it is b/c we are in the endtimes.
it is Jesus the world is forsaking.
a one-world religion is prophesied in the Bible.

in 2000, the united religious organization met with all the heads of religions from around the world (except apostolic)...
that is, catholic, methodist, baptist, luthern, church of christ, & other protestant denominations, as well as wicca, tao, & others who don't believe that Jesus was the Christ...

world political & religious leaders felt they could stop many conflicts by agreeing on a common religious belief.
they decided upon a "common or core belief" .
the belief statement was:
"there are many valid pathways to God".

it is compromise for peace.
that is compromise in the highest degree.

Jesus would never compromise & neither should any Christian.

Good question. The liberals and Antichrist spirit are hard at work trying to remove God from all public life. We as Christians should be very thankful for our religious freedoms and protect them through prayer and voting.

The founding of The United States. Had very little to do with religion, and everything to do with taxation without representation. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
