The Bible shows that God was the cause of creation. We are further told that the God who did the causing did w/ planning,reason&logic.Ro1:20 says we can know God"through the things Hes made."atheist, will try to convince us that we are the product of chance."We are as much a product of blind forces asis the falling of a stone to earth or the ebb&flow of the tides. We have just happened,&man was made flesh by a long series of singularly beneficial accidents"-Huxley.The subject of design has been explored many different ways. For most,looking@our newborn is enough to rule out chance.Modernday scientists,Davies,Hoyle, ect.are raising elaborate objections to the use of chance in explaining natural phenomena.A principle of science emerged in the 1980s"the anthropic principle"The basic thrust of the anthropic principle is that chance is not a valid mechanism to explain the atom or life.Chance not valid,we must reject Huxleys claim&realize we are a prod. of an intelligent God. logically proven???

Random chance cannot create anything. Can you take the carburetor off your car then put it back at a random location and expect it to run?

Can you put all the raw materials to make a Chevy truck in a box and push the box off the side of a building and expect to have a running Chevy truck when it hits the ground?

We are designed and created, that is a fact.

Since the Anthropic principal emerged in the 1980's we have learned a great deal more about the universe. One thing that is becoming more and more clear, is the fact that the universe is ALLOT bigger than we ever thought. Most of the stars we see in the sky, are actually Galaxies. Each of those Galaxies with their millions of stars, greatly increases the chance that life can exist by accident.

Another tenant of the Anthropic principal is that the Laws in the universe, (gravity, mathematics, physics etc.) are contsant.

Scientists have found that these "constants" are actually not constant, due to the expansion of the universe. This means that they laws that govern the way the universe works today, may have been quite a bit different when the earth was formed and when life came into existence.

Automatically assigning a deity to the existence of life is very presumptuous, especially considering the doctrinal problems that exist if an interactive God exists.

Actually, both beliefs require assumptions. There are credible theories accepted by leading scientists on both sides. Both sides have things that cannot be explained through math and physics alone. Darwin had his Black Box, cosmic naturalists have to answer what came before the Big Bang, and evolutionists have to figure out how life came from non-life without advocating spontaneous generation. Creationists have to answer the metaphysical questions that are intrinsic with the issue of the divine, such as good and evil, sin, when the Creator himself began.

Saying things like "Evolution has been proven to be the logical answer. Enough Said......" or "Science is a fact. God is a theory" (although that last one is interesting in light of the definition of theory) are neither helpful nor logical. In fact, both are dogmatic. No proof or qualifiers were offered on those statements, I am just expected to take them at face value and ask no questions.

The Strong Anthropic Principle has been disproven.

The Weak Anthropic Principle reduces to a tautology -- 'our environment supports our existence or we would not be here to observe it'.

Again, you've created a strawman by misrepresenting vital concepts.

You also appeal to incredulity, "I cannot see how this happened by chance, therefore, a higher power must have designed it!"

You're just full of logical errors today.

-----

Actually, I would quite like it if you could prove the existence of a deity. It'd make the universe feel a little less purposeless, a little less empty. Simply put: I wish there WAS a deity.

But your proof is flawed because you invoke the Strong Anthropic Principle, which has been disproven. You've proven nothing.

There is shed loads of evidence that we are the product of natural selection and therefore survival of the fittest. This has been an ongoing process for millions of years. Long before man invented a God to explain things (as he did not have an explanation at his disposal then of course).

Today it makes no sense to believe in a God with not a single shred of evidence. The Bible is also man-made remember. Science can't YET explain everything but it's only a matter of time.

Your approach is not only a gullible one, it's extremely lazy and shows a distinct lack of intelligence.

Reading a book written 2000 years ago and saying it is true is not science. There are lots of religious books which all have different stories of where everything came from, all of which cannot be proven. Science on the other hand is testable and can PROVE things beyond doubt. That is something no religion will ever be able to do.

You have proven nothing except once again that Christians, and Theists in general, have absolutely no concept of science, logic or what constitutes proof.

Using the bible as proof of anything is beyond idiotic.

Nothing should exist.
Yet it does. How can nothing
create something. They are so
sure that God can't exist that they
turn themselves into fools. Yet
there is proof of God's existance
in Christ. :)

Things are complicated and babies are beautiful. This is not proof of God. It is proof of complexity and beauty.
