I wonder what rights you're talking about.
What rights are denied Christians? No more than any other special interest group that I can think of.
Really, I am interested in rights that are denied specifically to Christians. I can't think of an example, but maybe I've misunderstood the question.

I'm one of those dreaded "liberals" but I'm also a Christian.
Gasp!

I'm all for Christian's rights. You can believe what you want to and express that belief. You can worship where and how you want.

None of this, however, can infringe on another person's rights. When it does, you've gone too far. This applies for all religions, etc.

Our of curiosity: what right do you feel is being denied to you as a Christian?

Has anyone blocked the door of your church to prevent you from entering?

No? So I guess you're free to beleive as you want, and practice as you want.

But keep in mind that religious freedom does NOT include using the government as a tool for evangelism, or demanding that it show YOUR religion any favorism. The Bush Administration DOES show you favoritism, so why are you complaining? Is is because some people disagree with you? It's called Freedom. Deal with it.

Let's compare something. You to Paul the Apostle (or most of the 12 disciples of Christ).

You: Get to go to church freely as often as you like without threat of being stoned to death.
Paul: Was almost killed multiple times for his faith, eventually died in prison (or so it is thought) for his beliefs

You: If you are arrested for you beliefs, you can take it to court and they will free you and compensate you for the grave misunderstanding
Paul: Spent many times in jail for his faith

You: Can talk about your faith with anyone at any time without fear
Paul: Every evangelism was tempting death

Are you beginning to see a pattern? In John 15:20, Jesus says that if they persecute him then they will most assuredly persecute us. And, let me tell you, this is not persecution. Ask any Christian in China or in a Muslim theocracy about persecution, and you will see that we have it pretty good here.

Personally as a slightly right of center, Atheist, I am highly amused at the thought that you think only the left are anti religion. Hahaha. Welcome to the 21st century, morons.

And what do you think your rights are that are being taken away? You can't just state something then not give an example of WHAT you are talking about in the way of rights.

What rights would you be referring to? You already have your politicians hard at work. Your church programs flood the public television stations, and your institutions and all related supplies are on the house. What more do you want?

Liberals do indeed care for your rights as christians,..... it is that they do not wish your ideas in their government, their bedrooms nor in their doctors' offices... Practice whatever you wish... but your freedoms of the practice of your religious ideas end with your intrusion into my lifestyle that is legal and private. If it is in my body, it is my business. If it is in my bedroom with another consenting adult, it is my business. And if it is in my doctor's office, it is between the two of us, not you nor your religion. Answer your question???????????.

It doesn't fit into their agenda to support Christian rights.
