I have a beautiful boxer, 1 year old. About a month ago she lost her fur behind ears. At first I didn't worry about it, but I have a feeling like the spots are getting bigger. She also has 3 or 4 small bumps on these spots. She doesn't eat a lot lately( I thought it's because of hot wheater), she still full of energy and acts healthy. Anybody had the same problem?

It sounds like she may be scratching a lot behind her ears. The spots may be getting bigger, as you say. If she's not eating a lot, I would suspect that something in her food isn't agreeing with her or she's ill and doesn't feel good. She could have a parasite or allergies. You should take her to the vet and see what they think. Try to watch her to see if she's scratching a lot so you can tell the vet.

Is she scratching? Did you change her food? Could it be fleas? Is she spayed?

My first thought would either be external parasites like fleas, or a food allergy. If it is fleas -- there are many products on the market which will help. A holistic remedy is this Natural flea remedy: Take a BIG fat lemon (the more rind the better) and slice it paper thin. Put in a bowl with a tablespoon of crushed rosemary leaves (or a 6 inch sprig of fresh). Pour over with a quart of hot, near boiling water. Let steep overnight. Strain and put into a large spray bottle. Keep in fridge. Shake well before applying.
The d-lemeone in this spray along with the rosemary oil will give your dog a beautiful shiny coat and keep fleas and other bugs away including mosquitoes, so you get extra heartworm protection. If your dog has dry skin or allergies add a teaspoon of tea tree oil and a tablespoon of Aloe pulp.
Use the spray at least twice a week to keep the scent on the coat to repel bugs, and spray it around your doors and through the carpets. If it's a bad flea time, spray daily on the belly and feet to repel them. I got this from a friend who lives in the southern US and she swears by it!
If it is a food allergy -- try one with chicken as the protein source and read the labels carefully!
Good luck!

My bulldog gets the same thing- they're called hot spots, and they can come from a dog scratching continuously at a spot, usually because of allergies.

You can buy hot spot treatments at PetSmart or Petco, and apply them according to package directions.

Also, take your dog to the vet to determine the cause of the hot spots. If it's allergies, he can prescribe you something for it or help you change the dog's food.

This is being caused by the diet you are feeding your dog. You need to change your dog over to a homemade food diet. Poor nutrition in the commercial dog foods are causing this in many dogs.
You will see an amazing difference in your dog within one week, and in a month his coat will be beautiful.

I am assuming you took her to a vet. If not, do so right away! It could be anything from mange, to allergies, to just porr nutrition.
