No, vitamin A will not change your need for glasses. The vision process relies on chemicals in the eye that are derived from Vitamin A but this process has nothing to do with whether you need glasses or not. The need for glasses is due to a mismatch in size between the various components of your eyes and is largely due to genetics, much like the shape of your ears or the colour of your hair is genetic.

Carrots, like all brightly coloured fruits and vegetables are a good source of vitamins, but many others are better sources of Vitamin A. Unless you are on a starvation diet, it is very unlikely that you are not already getting enough vit A in your diet. Eating too many carrots can make your skin turn orange, this is not harmful but looks weird.

Well it doesnt improve THAT much... I eat lots of carrots and my sister thinks I have 20/20 vision or something. My sister on the other hand has glasses and eyesight isn't very good, she barely eats any carrots so I guess that they improve your eyesight but not to much for you not to have glasses any more...

Did you ever see a rabbit with glasses?

Seriously though, if you eat that many carrotts you may notice a change in your complexion. You will actually get an orange tint. Seriously!!
