Motrin and Advil are the same thing: Ibuprofen (generic name)
Aspirin is related to them.

Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Ketoprofen, and several other prescription drugs are in a family of drugs called NSAIDs -- that stands for Non-Steroidal Anti-Imflammatory Drugs.

Aspirin was the first of its kind to be isolated (in the late 1800s) and these other related drugs were formulated in the 1970's, 1980's, etc. They are more advanced, supposedly have fewer side-effects, and are slightly more effective than aspirin.

Tylenol is different, its generic name is Aceteminophen, and since it is not an NSAID (non-steroid), it is based on steroids.
