i don't have a pic, but he's all grey (no markings) with yellow eyes and a fat face. I adopted him and his papers say he a domestic shorthair(that's so general), but they say that for all cats, they even put down persians as domestic shorthairs. I want to know if he is anything special. help?

good for you for adopting an animal. domestic shorthair is used for any shorthaired cat that doesnt have registry paperwork showing his lineage. of course your cat is special, because hes yours. chances are your cat is a mutt, with no specific breed. if you like, there are some very good cat breed books and websites, compare pics to him, and see what u get. i suggest u just enjoy him, what ever his ancestry might be

odds are you have a domestic short hair. when you take him to the vet this week to have him checked out you can ask them if it is anything different.

A CAT IS A CAT. THE SAME REASON EVERYONE AND THEIR MOTHER'S ARE GIVING THEM AWAY,THEY REPRODUCE LIKE MICE AND AREN'T ANYTHING "SPECIAL".
