Of course. You keep living your life the way you want in spite of all those people who put you down and try to make you feel bad.

Absolutely.
Revenge by means of "dirty tricks" or being mean spirited is useless and a waste of time and usually means an endless spiral of back and forth revenge; i.e. revenge for the revenge.
Revenge by means of living your life well, going on, working to obtain your goals no matter what life may have given you shows that you are truly a winner. And, if someone sees your life in that way and realizes what they have lost, so be it. The problem is now theirs, not yours and not because of anything bad you have done.

Well, some people who have unresolved anger issues with their parents and others will trash their adult lives to prove that their parents or others screwed them up. If they are living well there's no justification for their anger. But then some will say living well is the best proof that they couldn't hold me down. That, even though they tried, they couldn't keep me from having a good life. Also, abusive people are usually envious of happy people.

It sounds smarmy but it is good philosophy. It means you are able to lift yourself up and go on with your life, being strong and positive. Not stooping for revenge, not even acknowledging whatever miscreant who wounded you. It does not give any short term satisfaction but makes you stronger for the long term. Those who exact revenge are usually hurting themselves in some way.
