did this allegation arise because of anti-black racism in America, when they just couldn't take it that black people were getting fame and fortune, and wanted to bring them down even further?

The way I look at it if I don't feel joyful and peaceful while listening..I don't listen. The devil's music is supposed to go against the rhythm of the heart. You can even hear bad music at some churches that work the people up and gains control of them. I choose to be in control of myself and not let an outside source take me over. Why would anyone say that Satan does not have his music? What is the lifestyle of the people that produce the music. I love the songs the black culture gave us in the old days. Beautiful and soul felt. It was real and expressed their heart and what they were going through at the time. Lovely stuff and their spiritual songs...Wow. Mmm

All this talk about "the devil's music," yet I've never heard the devil actually play music nor have I ever been in Hell to hear what music is played there. So, I think people came up with the term "devil's music" only becuase it didn't appeal to them. It's like when people don't like something and they say it's gay. How is it gay? It's not. It's just a figure of speech people use when they don't like something. Like stupid or lame, and that's how I think the term "devil's music" is/was used.

It probably began that way, though the fact that rock and roll has always been associated with rebellion (which is a good thing) probably influenced later protests. Elvis received criticism both for being "obscene" and for playing music that certain conservatives associated with black people.

Not entirely. Rock & Roll is the illegitimate child of the Blues. Black ministers way back called the Blues "demonic" because it was raw, physical, and profane rather than sacred.

Not everything is racism man, When rock and roll got really big it was associated with counterculture and drug use. So comes the term Drugs, Sex and rock and roll. Its just conservatives trying to "protect" their children.

No....
This arose from the fact that there is some music out there that is not glorifying to God....and is of the devil.
Heavy metal for instance........seems innocent on the surface. But is it glorifying to God?
Not a chance......
