27"But I tell you who hear me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. 30Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. 31Do to others as you would have them do to you.
32"If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' love those who love them. 33And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' do that. 34And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even 'sinners' lend to 'sinners,' expecting to be repaid in full. 35But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful

and wicked. 36Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

Remember though, this does not mean be meek or weak. Turning the other cheek gives you the power. Someone slaps you because it gives them power, look at them, in the eye and then offer your other cheek. You are then in power, because you give permission to slap you. You also prevent escalation.

JDL Send me your address, and in the name of Jesus I will send you $10, even though you are not my enemy.

As for the poster who asked if he doesn't agree is he not a Christian...........considering this is one of the most important teachings of Jesus, I think we should agree with it. Do you pick and chose what parts of the Bible are true and worthy of your time?

yes and earlier in that chapter it says to expect those that hate Jesus to persecute you -yet jump for joy for so persecuted they the prophets that were before you.

pray for those in the JDL Jewish Defense League to stop fighting against our Jewish Messiah Jesus-I am a Jew and while they claim to be Jewish they reject Moses (Leviticus 17:11 and Isaiah 9:6 & 52:13-53:12 showing clearly that Jesus is our blood sacrifice for sins the Messiah the Mighty God)

may some listen to truth and be saved=this is what helped me the most in true love=coming to believe in Jesus and his care for us=John 3rd chapter,

David praying for you

check out this part-it will help your heart=the truest of all love-not just to be willing to die to protect another-the Jesus who died to protect those of us that didnt even care about him, then we are guided to earthly true love.

to be your best friend
this helped me=true love-help from above
=Revelation 1:1 chapter 1 verse 1 and chapter 3:19&20 I love you and knock on your heart door to come in deliver from sin and be your friend, when you ask me in." Jesus words =think of the future too

when its real and in honor-in friendship & for marriage for the future and living in honor till then. "In marriage the bed is undefiled, but the others will be judged." Hebrews 13 in that chapter is also the promise once we let Jesus into our heart "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." verse 5
this is what got me self control=I have had the best of everything in life (I thought) till I came to Jesus and learned the joy of life, in salvation and renewal, praying for you, -and I am just a messenger in Jesus amazing grace (John 3rd chapter) repented of my sins, even one lie and let Jesus in to help and be my friend- princess. it sure worked for me, =Jesus is the one to comfort you and to give you help to commit in a relationship, in Jesus amazing grace, John 3rd chapter repented of my sins, even one lie, and let Jesus in to be my friend=

"Jesus help me, thanks that you love me, I am sorry for my sins, come into my heart and help me, be my friend, amen."

praying all goes well for you too, David

Hey,

I do keep that in mind when I am posting on here. Sometimes the atheists fire me up for the whole day, but I have never said anything hateful to them. " Do unto others as you would have done unto you." Even though we don't agree with eachother, we should find a common respect for our beliefs.
I am a believer of the Most High God and His Son Jesus. God bless!

Thank you so much for the reminder. What a blessing..........Today is the day the Lord hath made, I will rejoice and be glad in it......I think the Christians are out full force this morning and it is truly sweet to behold. Our Lord is to be praised and thanked for His Word in perfect timing. You might want to post that one every once in a while, especially at night when the trolls are out. God bless you.

When someone cut me off on the road, my first impulse was to get angry with them--they almost caused an accident! But my mother-in-law said "Bless them, Lord, becuase they must be in a very big hurry and I hope that they don't get hurt or cause anyone else to get hurt." It reminded me of Luke 6. A lot of times, we forget until we are reminded again... so thank you for your question.

Leviticus Chapter 24:

13: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
14: Bring forth him that hath cursed without the camp; and let all that heard him lay their hands upon his head, and let all the congregation stone him.
15: And thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Whosoever curseth his God shall bear his sin.
16: And he that blasphemeth the name of the LORD, he shall surely be put to death, and all the congregation shall certainly stone him: as well the stranger, as he that is born in the land, when he blasphemeth the name of the LORD, shall be put to death.
17: And he that killeth any man shall surely be put to death.
18: And he that killeth a beast shall make it good; beast for beast.
19: And if a man cause a blemish in his neighbour; as he hath done, so shall it be done to him;
20: Breach for breach, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as he hath caused a blemish in a man, so shall it be done to him again.

Oh, for crying out loud !! So, to disagree with you and your ilk means I am not being Christian ! Give me a break, will you.

Hey atheists, agnostics, mockers, scoffers and assorted goof balls ---HEED the above. LOL

By the way, no one in this forum is my enemy...we are merely different people with differing ideas; and are sharing our perspectives. Sometimes civilly and sometimes passionately and sometimes with a little 'heat'....As the old broad said: "If you can't take the heat; get out of my kitchen".

If your husband held a gun to your head and raped you would you kill him with kindness? I might pray for him but he would pay
