Yes, as long as you have your marriage licenses and a pastor you can get married anywhere.

Several of the nicest weddings I've attended have been in someone's home or backyard. The guest list is usually fairly small, since there's usually limited space available, but it's perfectly possible.

Basically, you can get married anywhere you can get a licensed officiate to show up and perform the ceremony. People have married on mountaintops and underwater in scuba diving ceremonies. A family home? Is not a problem.

I think it's lovely and thoughtful that you're accomodating your father's needs this way. Best of luck and all joy to you and your intended.

It depends where you live, in the UK you can legally marry in someone's home but only with prior permission from registrar general, they would need to issue a special license to allow this as marriages generally can only take place in authorised premises where the marriage can be legally solemnised. Venues include register offices, premises that have been approved by the local authority (for example, stately homes, castles and hotels), churches or chapels of the Church of England and Church in Wales, and other churches that have been registered by the registrar general for marriage including naval, air force and military chapels. The marriage of house-bound and detained persons can also be arranged by obtaining a special licence from the registrar general.

You certainly can get married in the family home, but you can't have very many guests. Maybe you could have the wedding at home with your dad, and then have the reception elsewhere and invite more people to the reception.

Certainly! If you have a marriage license and someone who is legally able to perform the ceremony, you can get married in the family home. How thoughtful of you to be doing this for him!

Of course you can get married in your home. not only is it cheaper but you won't be late you can make sure things are getting done the right way because you will be there to see it all and you are so sweet for making it easy on your father.

I got married in my front yard last summer, you can do it anyplace you want. Some ministers, priests etc will only do it in a church so if that is important to you, talk to your clergy person first. Most justice of the peace or judges will come to you however... Good luck! And I think it's great that you love your daddy so much!!!

You can get married any where you want (within reason of course) as long as an officiant is present. How nice of you to do this for your dad, and congrats on the marriage!
