yes twitching happens to a lot of people ... a lot of times it is stress/sleep related.

get enough sleep at night .. dont strain your eyes too much (computer/tv), or you can try putting cold/warm presses a few times a day to relax the eyes muscles.

I am unsure of the answer from an Islamic perspective but from a medical perspective their are various reasons..eyelids can twitch for the following reasons; a nerve has died in your eyelid (this is nothing to be concerned about and is perfectly normal), or you are stressed out. It isn't generally anything serious so try not to worry..the mor you worry the more conscious of it you become.

yea it may be lack of sleep. about two weeks ago my left eye sarted twitching too but everyone told me not to worry about it. yesterday this thing called a stye (sp?) started growing under my left eyelid and now its swollen up and my eye looks super huge. i havent been sleeping properly though, since its the summer and all.
