this is an age old question that will go on forever, these days more people are committing sins therefore, there is no point trying to convert everyone just be happy that you are going to heaven, and let the rest of u s non believers go to hell, at the end of the day god gave us the right to freewill didn't he? so let us do as we wish with it, the more u nag, the more we repent, we don't believe in god cos he don't believe in us, why do we die? and suffer? and don't tell me its our time to go and god wants us up there and stuff cos then that means he's selfish, think about it, the only stories of jesus there are came from people thousands of years ago, that had no tv, were dying and bored, now if u were in that situation, wouldn't u write a story and start hallucinating?

If that is your belief then that's fine.
I prefer to believe in things that are more tangible!
I also cannot believe that your God is good. There are alot of very evil things done by people in the name of their God...and if you follow the thought that most of these religions stem from the same source...the difference being where the disciples took the 'word'.....then your God and theirs are one and the same!!!
Why should children suffer to 'come unto' him????
Why did he punish the world for its sins in the bible....Nineveh, Noah's ark..... and yet in today's world where man is killing man, causing extinction and serious depletion of animal, plant and the planets rock, he lets it slide!!!
If you can give me proof of your answers, and the answers are not....because the bible said so Or you have to have (blind) faith, ....then you may be able to change my mind, but I have been a Christian and have read the bible, but as I have grown I have also read and seen much to contradict the book and it's faith!!

This is a tricky one. I personly do not believe in any form of religion as it has been the cause of many wars between familys, friends, countires, empires and if i am correct in saying they all come back to the same god.
we all believe in something wether it is gods will or not, and i think it is everybodys right to beliebe in something and not be bullied or ridiculed for there beliefs. Everyone is different and i think people should realise this. It does not matter how much war you have, how many laws you bring in, you will never take away a persons belief, that is there identy and whats makes each one of us different, be it right or wrong we all need to get along.

Personal experience is what counts. If you believe you have been blessed by God then you have no difficulty in finding all sorts of evidence to back up your belief.
If you have no such feeling of being blessed then you have no difficulty in finding all sorts of reasons why belief in a god is delusional.
What I would recommend is this: that today's Christianity should not be judged on the basis of an Old Testament picture of God; that ideas of heaven and hell should not be based upon medieval wall-paintings; that we should open our eyes to the truth that God sent his son in order to live, not in order to die. His death on the cross was brought about by the evil in men's hearts that they chose to follow.
God is good. God is love. Each one of us in this life is privileged to give and receive love at different times; each one may choose to have love as our motive when dealing with other people, after the example of Jesus himself. That is my understanding of faith and life, and that is the way I try to live.

because people in general have hardend hearts against God. As well the Devil is very good at getting people to turn away. Also people (in general) see the Bible and God as a list of Don'ts. Don't do this. Don't do that. Don't do anything fun. Where as it is just the opposite. Also some people firmly believe in there own religion and refuse to give that up as well.

People don't accept Jesus for many reasons. The Bible says that some people are spiritually blind and just can't see the truth. That blindness can be a result of a life surrendered to sin. It can also be the result of resisting God long enough that he pulls away the "light" to see.
Some don't accept Jesus because they want to control their own lives, and they see obedience to God's standards as too demanding. They don't realize, however, that we are always mastered by something. Will we choose to be mastered by a loving and wise God or by our own sinful flesh? Which is the better master?
The Bible says that Jesus will be a "stumbling block" to many. This seems especially true for those who consider themselves to be "good" people and want to earn their way into God's presence by their own "goodness." They resent the idea that we are all sinners and that we must submit in humility before God and accept God's free grace. They much prefer a merit system for they see themselves as doing pretty good compared to others. For them pride is what keeps them from coming to God.

good for you but not everyone feels the same so dont ask why not everyone agrees with you. There is this thing called personal opinion which everyone is entitled to. in my opinion religion of any sort is a contradiction in itself, how many people have died or been killed for a god or a religion?yet how many religions believe in peace and not harming others?! this is the 21st century and i dont need a god, i have science.

Because if he loved us he wouldn't let us suffer and die.
Because if he loved us he wouldn't get us burn in hell, the place where his one rival is. Nothing that anyone has ever done, even hitler deserves horrid pain forever.
Because if he loved us he wouldn't let terrorists blow kids up in his name.
Because if he loved us he would help us, cure us and have jesus still alive spreading peace and happiness. Instead we get war, rape death and hate.
Because he doesn't even lead his own church but lets corrupted power hungry, greedy fools run it going against his will.
Because all this magic he and jesus did stopped just around the time of when people stopped thinking magic was real.
God is not good and if thinks he is he has a very warped option of good for a perfect being.
The good inside me hurts when I see things about death, rape and other things. If he is 100% good how can he let it happen?

Why would a god that is so good punish and hurt other people and condemn them for being smart and to think on their own? I don't believe, and if I did I would not pick that god.

If god is so good, why did he set up a system where countless humans would be sent to hell for eternity, or have to be "born into sin" due to the shortcomings of 2 individuals?
Seems like he was setting up the majority to fail. If I treated my children like that, I'd turn myself in for child abuse.
