Cancerous Tumors In Hamsters?

Can they be caused by stress? What are factors that can cause a cancerous tumor in a small animal like a hamster?

All living cells, no matter if they are in an animal, human, or plant life can turn cancerous. No one knows why. It just may be something that is an 'accident' of nature and there is no cause.

cancer isn't cased by stress and i've been told it's very common in hamsters. my nephews hamster died last week from cancer. he had tumors in a few places. as far as causes, they're the same as in people and many times there is no way of knowing an actual cause.
