Jesus Christ died to save the shrimp. It is now saved and no longer an abomination.

1. In the NT, Jesus declared all foods clean. He said that it's not what goes into your mouth that makes you unclean, but what comes out of it (evil words, for example).

2. We live in a secularized society which is not dominated by any one religion or sect. Israel might ban the sale of shrimp for religious reasons (I don't know if it does), but not the USA. Our Constitution guarantees freedom of religion.
