When you are taught not to question authority then you can not stand to see anything else that contradicts what you have been taught. Especially when you are taught there is only right and wrong no shades of grey inbetween.

The only thing heretical about science is the made up theory to support certain evidence. I'm referring to evolution, not all of the sciences. Presupposition at it's finest. Evidence has yet to prove one belief over another. We both know there are no facts that prove beyond doubt, your belief over ours. The day that science puts aside the supposition and factually proves what it claims, is the day I change what I believe. But, don't get your hopes too high. It'll never happen. Unbelievers have said for centuries now that once science is advanced enough it will prove God false. The only "false" I see is that statement by unbelievers.

I don't; I think there's room for both. I love documentaries that attempt to scientifically explain the possibility of the 7 plagues of Egypt or Noah's Arc.
I don't think God is mystical or magical and I think learning more and more about nature, the human body, etc only serves to make us better. So I don't get why some feel the need to make it all so black and white.
It can be religion and science; it doesn't have to be religion or science.

christians view Universal Truth as a threat to their religious beliefs...
Universal Truth eliminated religion (including christianity) from Spirituality, a long time ago...
so that's why the ignorant christians believe that science is heretical and blasphemous to their christian false promises, lies and deceptions...
Here's the simply Solution for religion:
Eliminate religion from Your Life, A.S.A.P.;
Freedom of religion is Freedom FROM religion; religion is Spiritual fraud;
Universal Truth eliminated religion from Spirituality a long time ago;
Accomplish this:
Create a Private, Personal, Direct, Divine Relationship with Our Creator and save Your Soul from religion's and atheist's beliefs and start Your journey back home, to Heaven.
<<<<<<< UnConditional Love is the only answer >>>>>>>
Love and Believe in Our Creator;
Love and Believe in Yourself.
Only with Our Creator's Love and Peace will we be Truly Free!

I guess I'm not one "for whom this appies". I am a Christian who firmly believes in the scientific process and I believe science only serves to affirm my beliefs thus far. That being said, I am fully aware that many Christians believe this way, I'll do my part to support scientific research.

well..this is my point of view...in science you learn about evolution, and some people cant deal with hearing something they don't believe in, well i can tolerate it because i will believe what i feel and you don't have to believe in the "theory" (key word) if you don't want to and most scientists from early days were believers just trying to learn more..so i don't have anything against scientists..and i don't think you should judge ALL Christians for not liking scientists

Mainstream science has become mainstream science fiction.
Scientists are more interested in disproving the existence of God and the divinity of Christ than discovering any real “truths” of reality.

We do not see Science like this. If you are referring to Creationists, they have the same facts as evolutionists, they just interpret the facts in a different way. I am a creationist.
And it is the truth.
