Me and a friend were talking at work today, making silly concoctions in our heads and thinking what would happen if you drank them. Would you explode if you drank cola and baking soda together or would you expand or conbust. I would try myself but i am not brave enough

I imagine you'd want to puke because it would taste disgusting. I drank a coke and a packet of pop-rocks together once and lived.

I actually tried this when I was in junior high. Because Baking Soda works like a anti-acid when mixed with liquid and consumed(think Alka-Selzer), it would be like taking a bunch of Tums with Ginger -Ale... You would feel very bloated and gassy. I didn't get sick, but felt like I had eaten about 30 Hard-Boiled eggs!

You would not explode or die. Most probably you would vomit . If you could hold it down in your stomach the natural acids in your stomach would take care of it without causing you MUCH further discomfort!
