I belive in Christ, so do not think I am trying to be offensive.

I recently read a book about heaven, and it says that the only way to get to heaven is if you believe in Christ. What about the people who only believe in God? Do they also go, or not?

God is a trinity. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in unity. The Son does the Father's will and the Holy Spirit facilitiates the Son's ministry. If you believe in God the father, you believe in the Son who obeys the Father's will.

Regarding your concern over people of the Jewish faith:

From the Christian's perspective, the old faith involved clensing one's sins through blood sacrifece. Often, a sacrifice would have to be given at the alter to clense our sins. This is no longer a requisite for Christians because an ultimate blood sacrifice was given. It was proven time and time again that man could not measure up to God's laws. We are fallible in nature and cannot reflect the glory of God in our nature. However, by giving His son, the ultimate untainted blood sacrifice in stead of our sins, God has given us forgiveness and grace that we could never have earned. Therefore it is no longer necessary to believe that one can atone for one's sin, as it is impossible. So if God has given us grace, who are we to refuse it and try to earn our way into heaven through the old laws? Jesus was a Jew, but the faith was renewed through Christ, and those who do not believe in Christ refuses God's ultimate plans and will not be included.

It's like this. God offers us a way out through Christ because we can never earn our way to heaven. It is therefore our choice to take that hand or to refuse it. Hell is not a punishment for those who deny Christ, but just the fate that awaits for those who do not take the way out. But this is of the Christian faith, and if you're not a Christian, this truth does not mean anything to you as you have chosen to believe in something else. And may your belief lead you to whatever afterlife you believe in, and may you find peace in your life. I say this in the most sincere way possible.

Jesus said, I am the way the truth the life, no man comes to the father except through me. The Jews are Gods chosen people, God has aways and will aways make a way for the Jewish people. As for the rest. God is fair, he is just, each will be judged by the only one who can judge.

I do not understand the question. How can you believe in Christ and not believe in God? Some people do belive in God they just don't believe that Christ is the son of GOD.

No, the people who only believe in God do not go to Heaven. Because if you never knew Jesus, you never knew the father. Jesus himself said that he who has seen him has seen the father also, and that no one was righteous, no one knew God.
As for the Jews, they're the ones who get another chance. Once Satan is ruling the earth, as explained in Revelation:7, 144,000 will be saved, and they'll all be Jews.

Apparently not. There are many Jews for Jesus and The 144,000 will be Jews from the 12 tribes preaching about Jesus being the Messiah during the great tribulation.

Jesus, God, died for our sins, and the least we can do is be willing to die for the belief in Him. If we can't do that, it's kind of like hanging outside the theater because you don't have a ticket and hoping you can hear the music, and trying to convince everyone that you are part of the audience. Something is missing. Sure you may believe in God, like hearing the music, but without Jesus, your ticket, you won't get past the doors.

Well you need to look at it this way. Jesus is our lawyer and we are on trial. God is the Judge. We have broken Gods Laws. If we chose to dismiss our lawyer we stand before the judge alone with no defense. We will go to Jail. In this case Hell. So those who chose not to have Jesus are as doom as a person with out a lawyer who's on trial. Jesus is our defense because we all have lied and stole some thing no matter how small and regardless of it's value.

In John 3:18, Jesus says concerning Himself, "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son."

By your question it is obvious that you are making a distinction between Jesus and God. There is no distinction. Jesus is God. To believe in Jesus is to believe in God.

There is only one true God. All other God's are false. You either believe in the truth or you believe in a lie. There cannot be many different Gods because if there were, the entire bible would fall apart. The very first commandment says, "You shall have no other Gods before me." We are to give our complete love, devotion, and worship to one God and no other.

Either Jesus is the one and true God or He is a false idol. There cannot be two Gods. This was the great challenged faced by many Jews of His day. Would they believe that He was indeed the Messiah (the Christ) in whom they all knew to be God Himself? Or would they believe He was a blasphemous teacher, a lair and a thief?

Anyone that is Christian has accepted Christ as Lord and God, just as Thomas said in John 20:28(NIV), "My Lord and my God!" Obviously, if Jesus were not God, He would have corrected Thomas. This is a serious offense to claim to be God when you are not. However, continually throughout the gospels we see Jesus declaring His deity. He healed people, raised people from the dead, forgave sins, accepted people's worship, and lived entirely righteous. There is much evidence in Scripture that Christ was God in flesh.

Many, however, argue this cannot be as Jesus claimed to be the Son of God. However, Jesus also claimed to be the Son of man. So which is it? Is He man or God? The truth is that Jesus was both. This is significant as this means Jesus embodied the reconciliation of God and man.

It is important to note that Jesus was the ONLY son of God. The Jews knew quite well what Jesus was saying. He was claiming to be God. (John 5:18) That is why they accused Him of blasphemy.

In addition to this, it is important to understand what the term "believe in" means. The little word "in" makes a huge difference in our understanding. To "believe in" something means that we accept it as truth, even moreso than ourselves. We believe in it and invest ourselves into it. This means we elect or place it as Lord over us, our master. This is highlighted throughout the new testament. In Romans 10:9(NIV) Paul says, "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

What this means is that we make Jesus, who is the true God, our Lord and master. In other words, we make the true God our God. This is the most essential part of Christianity.

So, if we believe in any other God other than Jesus Christ, we believe in a false God. And this will not do. Only Christ can save us and redeem us. That is why He said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." (John 14:6) There is no other way to God. Jesus Christ is the only way.
