me and my guy had an argument a while back and we both agreed to step off of our high horses. I haven't seen him until yesterday and he was kind of off and I could feel it in the air. He was saying everything is cool and he is trying to be more serious but yet it felt like something else is wrong with him and I don't know what to say. did I push him too far. if you don't understand what I am asking please read my other question married or engaged. sorry I don't know how to post a link to the question. i mean i have morals and i just wanted him to stop trying make to me out to be like his fantasy girl which was sounding more whorish than lady like. thank you for your advice and help.

I didn't take the time to hunt out your other question, but based on this question I'll share the following insight with you: some men have a romanticized notion in their heads of what makes an ideal woman (just as women have their notions of what makes an ideal man). Some men have trouble letting go of that image, others make the transition more easily. That's unique to him and his mental make up to determine what category he falls into. It's worth giving him the opportunity to keep pace with reality, but not too long. If he's stuck in the fantasy world, you're better off seeking a more grounded man.

Give it time and don't force it. But don't give in... you won't be happy if you do. Either he will accept you as you are, or he won't. If he doesn't, his problem.
