You should take the advice about leaving her inside in the quietest place you can find. Soft music may help, too. I would also suggest that you give her some attention (if she enjoys this) shortly before the fireworks begin so she's kinda tired. Definately leave some favorite food with her so she's distracted. Our small animals don't seem to get too upset, but years ago I had a very sweet rat, going on 3 yrs old, who we lost unexpectedly after our neighbors had set off fireworks. We suspect the poor old guy had a heart attack but it may have simply been his time.

Some of my guinea pigs were afraid of the fireworks but I just simply gave them some carrots right before the fireworks started and left the radio on the clasical music channel to drown out the sound. If you do that it should work the same way for your hamster.

Another good thing to try is taking his cage into the basement just for a few hours durring the fireworks as long as it's warm enough down there for him. This will really drown out the noise.

Hamster's ears are very sensitive. You might want to close your door when the fireworks are going on.

Not if they are inside the house and in a hamster hut...... and you have a dark cloth over her cage during the fireworks.

Yes. No animals should be outside with fireworks going on. Dogs have actually dug out of their yard and disappeared. It damages their hearing and causes a lot of stress. Play classical music to help reduce stress.

Keep her in a safe room away from the fireworks, and she should be fine. You could even drape a towel over her cage, it might make her feel safer.

Well, hamsters are very afraid. Keep her inside then everything should be alright, mine are, and they get scared with everything. If she does get scared, she won't die! :D

Yep.....you probably should not strap them to the bottle rockets. Not a good idea.
