There's an old proverb that says "actions speak louder than words". Is this true in Jesus's case? Which is Jesus's strong suit, his actions or his words?

Oh, I think both. It's hard to decide, but I think his actions spoke volumes for the time period. It was a time when the Pharisees were pushing legalism and while preaching against it would have its effect, Jesus hanging out with the prostitutes and other people they would have seen as "scum" really nailed in his point.

Actually the beauty of Jesus is that his actions and words went together.

My basis for this is simply explained. Leaving religion out of the equation, would the world be a better place if EVERYONE behaved and treated others according to the teachings of Jesus?

Jesus' actions didn't always reflect his words. He said "blessed are the meek", and "turn the other cheek", but he also assaulted the money lenders in the temples.
He supposedly came here with every intention of dying for our sins, yet on the cross he cried out "Father! Why has thou forsaken me?!" I think he was human, and I think he was a great teacher, I do NOT think he was the only son of God. So I would have to say that neither his words or his actions, being inconsistant, had a greater impact on me.

Jesus was the only person who ever lived up to His Words, so in His case, Jesus' actions equalled his words.

He walks on water and can turn it into wine................take five dead fish and everyone can dine..........

what we remember about a man that died 2000 years ago is this................his memory and teachings are still bringing in the crowds and His ability to generate money is still here and still taken advantage of by the few who never have enough

so really, what he left for us mainly......

a memory of trying to teach right, live right,

and a horrible death.......

the basic philosophy of ......live life to the fullest you can, and dont expect a reward for doing the right thing

the smartest thing we remember from him...

rejoice in this day of life, a gift to us, a special time that we know we exist,

to see, smell, hear...touch and all other things....we dont think about much....

the gift of life is so fantastic ....how can we think that Jesus was not trying to show us in every way he could

life is the greatest thing to ever be created

uh...actions but his actions were a bit paradoxical. His fans claim he's "man" but he never got into women that they'll admit. He'd feed thousands...but never by just ordering enough food like all us other mortals do. I don't see where people can follow his actions at all (and yeah, I don't try).

Well, since He lived everything He said, it's a hard pick, but allowing Himself to be killed for our sins puts actions in the lead.
