I think about this often I don't think it helps anything. I often wonder why are christians generally the poorest stewards of the environment.
I wonder why they are so vehemently antiglobal warming. When regardless of the science or philosophy that lead to it the net result is we should reduce air pollution. Really if we reduce carbon emissions we are reducing more than just CO2 theres quite abit of other junk coming out of an exhaust pipe or a factory. I wonder what kind of air my grandchildren will be breathing. Are christians so consumed by the end times that they just dont care????

A conjoined twins share a similar flesh, yet they each have their very own soul. they're the two in my view judged with the aid of God for what that they had carried out and what they did not do. it fairly is available that they might the two be in Heaven, or the two be in Purgatory or Hell, or one is in Heaven on a similar time as the different is in Purgatory or Hell. Being organic and organic twins does not make then a similar individual, they're 2 separate persons. look at it like this between the twins has finished information of what they're going to do is sinful and supply consent to performing upon that sin, on a similar time as the different twin isn't giving consent to performing upon that sin. Technically the guy who gave their consent has committed the sin, the guy who did not did not dedicate any sin. and with the aid of the Resurrection they're going to each take delivery of latest bodies so it fairly does not count.

I do not believe that people are incapable of being
moral, and unless someone believes that all neighborhoods
are good neighborhoods then there will always be a
purpose in nurturing the soul. More concretely,
the requisite of law enforcement implies that moral
awareness is a justifiable pursuit. Ideally, in a purely
moral world, law enforcement would become obsolete;
people would find the proper arrangements without
mediation. The difference between a moral and immoral
world is the need for the right to own firearms and to
invoke the death penalty.

Hi, I'm a Baha'i. One of Baha'u'llah's fundamental teachings is that responsible and moral stewardship of the earth is our duty and obligation to ourselves and to future generations. He taught this principle in the late 19th century when there was little problem with the environment. Therefore, when a person chooses to call herself a Baha'i, if she didn't already feel she had this obligation and duty, she would then accept it as a formal part of her beliefs and commit herself to acting upon it in her daily life. As Baha'is share the teachings of Baha'u'llah with others -- there are no clergy in the Baha'i Faith -- they are spreading the commitment to responsible action to care for and cherish the earth.
Bahá’ís see the environmental crisis as one of a number of issues requiring a profound change in human behavior. They believe that humanity is in a turbulent period of transition towards a unified global society. Humanity will be able to live in harmony with the natural environment when its spiritual and material potentials are given balanced attention.
Hope this give some indication of the importance Baha'u'llah gives this issue and how deeply and passionately Baha'is care about it.

I miss the world. I used to live there. Nice place, as I recall. The planet is filled with so many bothersome people who seem intent and imposing on me their version of the common good. Somehow, the idea of a free world in which each of us having the chance to create his own utopia seem the best chance for all of us. Yes, I miss the idea of that world.

The planet? Some of us believe that God intended for us to be good stewards of earth (that is the basis for "stewardship").
The inhabitants? Well, if their souls get saved, how would that not be good for them?

Ah! I read your profile. Nice to have a Christian who isn't set on trashing the planet! I'm on your team there for sure!
Saving the planet is a good thing on one level because it alleviates human suffering now. When we don't gobble our resources and pollute, people in third world countries and the poor in our own countries can share those resources and suffer less.
