I go into a hotel.A woman at the table behind me is eating fish.suddenly she starts coughing violently.She has a look of panic and her face is going blue.A fish bone is stuck in her throat and is choking her.
What will you do to save her life?

a fish bone will not kill you,you may need to go to ER to get it removed but it wont block airways,eating a piece of bread will usually shift it

Anybody who can not speak, is panicked and is turning blue needs immediate intervention. Perform the Heimlich manoeuvre fast. A fish bone does not usually block the airway though-she should try to swallow it down.

1. Make her swallow a piece of banana.
2. Give her a piece of white bread (Wonder Bread is best) with peanut butter on it.
Usually fish bones won't make you actually suffocate, but in case the 2 above don't work, i'd take her to the ER to have them remove it by hand.

A fish bone wont block her airway but it will feel like it. If she ate a peice of bread it would force the bone into her stomach and it will dissolve from her stomach acids.

this has happened to me so many times!! the bone getting stuck i mean..not me finding people with bones stuck in their throats. hahas. anyways, I always swallow a lump of white rice.. it pushes the bone down..if there's no rice...then lots of water...of u can put ur hands around her diaphgram and push..

1. ask if she's choking(stupid I know, but you have to ask)
2. in this case the heimlich would not work, so keep her calm and dial 911.

hymlic (sp) manuver... stand behind her and put your hands clasped in a fist in her abdoman and give a few quick thrusts to the diaphram until the item disloges itself.... Take Red Cross first-aid/CPR

Either ask if there's a doc. or just stick my hand in there and take it out.
