I mean when I get so upset or something I wind up punching something or hurting myself someway. I set it hit my legs with everything I can as hard as I can.

Do you guys have any ideas on how I control this?
I tried biting my tongue, just bit almost through it one day.

Take up yoga, meditation, deep breathing exercises etc. Also try EFT (www.emofree.com), Reiki...

There are several options and so there is no need to get frustrated.

Direct your aggression energy towards something constructive like exercise. Go for a run, this is especially good if you are tense and feel you need to lash out. Exercising releases natural feel good chemicals in your brain and it gives you an opportunity to think through what is upsetting you.

Walk it off (or run, or jog)
Do any type of exercise
Buy a punching bag--or a strong pillow
Count to 10--or to 10,000 if necessary
Meditate (books on 'how to' at the library)
Use lavender aromatherapy (candles, incense, bath & body products)
Clean something
Write about it--take it out in words

i had the same problem..well i still do but i can control it better now. i went through something like anger management and it helped. i just stay positive and know that no matter what the cause may be, its not worth me hurting myself or others.

I don't know about you, but when I start to get upset I can feel it. So when I start to get that "feeling" I start to talk to myself. No, not out loud, but I talk my out of it. If you talk to yourself you are more likely to realize that what you are mad about really isn't that big of a deal. It will help you stop and think instead of reacting badly to situations.
