MS Word - Bullets not working as multilevel?

In Format/Bullets & numbering, I've got my list set as an Outline Numbered & have set the format 3 levels deep, but it won't go past the first level, tab doesn't work. Help!!

Make sure you're putting a hard CR at the end of the first line. A soft CR will not get the format working for you.

When in doubt, highlight and use the Format - Bullets to format the section again.
