Get married at a tattoo convention. You could have a Halloween wedding, a biker wedding, a pirate wedding. A sky dive wedding, one in a light house, on the beach, on a mountain, underwater, on a rollercoaster - really it's up to you - what are your hobbies and interests?

Do no longer take this as a impolite remark however as an remark. The entire Titanic factor was once NOT a romance...it was once a crisis. Just since it was once MADE right into a romance film (which I honestly like BTW) does no longer put off from the truth that lives had been misplaced. Consider this: Would a man or woman have a marriage ceremony at the nine/eleven web page? No. People might consider it was once in BAD style on the grounds that a terrible occasion happened there. I might forgo the subject and opt for some thing else.

If it's a small wedding, try doing a destination wedding. Take a cruise, go to Hawaii on the beach, or even go to Vegas. You can even do something that you both enjoy. Some people got married during a bungee jump or scuba diving. If you guys like hiking, hike with the rest of your wedding party, friends and family to a place that you guys enjoy going; have a picnic-type set up for the reception; you don't have to worry about a dress, wear an all-white hiking outfit, even white hiking shoes. Get married in your backyard with a hula theme, cowboy theme, rock-n-roll theme, halloween theme... the point is be CREATIVE.

I agree with others, nix the ring tatoo idea. What if you get divorced?
We had a non-traditional-ish wedding.
For a non-traditional ceremony we went with a handfasting ceremony. We were a little worried since he has a really religious family that it might not go over so well, but his family still raves about how 'meaningful' the ceremony was.
We designed our our wedding rings, had them made by a local jeweler that does custom designs, and went with a non-traditional stone (green-gray Mongolian sapphires)
The wedding party colors were black and gold, including my dress (groomsmen and braidesmaids all in black) Other colors were strong fall colors instead of froo-frooy pastels.
We had an outdoor wedding during the fall so didn't need decorations for the ceremony.
We made our own wedding invitations with a photo my husband had taken of fall leaves. (colors brown, tan, gold and black) instead of the typical white, ecru or pastels with rings, flowers, doves, kids, or precious moments stuff.

I'd ditch the tattoo idea - Think about it - you marry this person and find that 5 years later you're not married to them (for whatever reason, the marriage just didn't work out) - and now you're stuck with this permanent reminder of your Ex. and when you find you real soul mate - he or she has to LOOK at a tattoo for someone else.
Insofar as unusual weddings - the best unusual wedding I ever saw was between Sheilds and Yarnell - two famous mime actors. It was done in mime - of course.
But contact the SCA chapter in your area - and talk to them about holding a medieval event - that is a day of jousting followed by the ceremony and traditional feast. Yo Ho!
Or ask your local Wicca priestess for advice.

Here are a few suggestions:
1.Think of a favorite sports team and run wild with the theme. You can play nothing but the sports music, and guests can interact by wearing sports attire or sports teams attire. Great way to keep people talking about your wedding for years.
2.Have an at home wedding for an intimate and relaxed affair.
3.Think of some of your favorite past times and discover a way to incorporate them into your wedding.

Try a red dress... they look really nice.... and for the tattoos, try, some sort of flower, or symbol that you both agree on with your initials in them.

for the tattoo.. you could use.... till death do us part.... or I do...
You can go for a theme.. Just depends on what you like.. A hot one right now is Rockabilly....
Just plan what you want.. It is your day.. You be the judge of what you want and how you want it..
