It is extremely difficult to combat blind faith. Believers tend to be in groups, the 'flocks'. As such they are constantly re enforcing their fantasies amongst each other. Best to leave them to it. Unless of course they attempt to spread their madness to the government, courts or education systems. Then they have to be reminded that they are in fact, nutso.

Christians are of the lot, "Don't bother me with the truth, my mind is made up...." I have even had conversations with more or less educated people.... an Anglican father of some sort was one. The poor guy didn't even realize that his Aquinian theology was proven false centuries ago.. (Thomas Aquinas) When I pointed out the flaws to him of the errors Aquinas made, (Aquinas had five points, the first four rather the same, the fifth proven false with the discovery of DNA.....) never heard from the guy again.... Interestingly, when one realizes how beautiful science is, and how lovely the DNA answers questions, those people rarely go back to their spooky beliefs. But they have to be educated, rather intelligent, reason well, and of course, read. Supernaturalists are rarely all of these.....

What people need to start understanding is that it's not our place to sway anyone in any direction. Atheists and people of other nonChristian paths get ticked when Christians try to "save" or "enlighten" them so why would Christians be any different. Take your beliefs, whatever they may be, and go on your merry way. We can figure this stuff out on our won but thanks for sharing. (P.S. I'm not Christian but I respect everyone's choice - freedom of religion (or lack there of) is a beautiful thing).

As soon as you think you know everything, that's when you know nothing. Atheist are just as lost as anyone else, problem is they believe they have a better "informed opinion". Atheism is pretty trendy right now and makes people seem like smart, rational human beings but thats only because society itself has told you what is "smart" or "rational". God says that we are so lost where we are at without Him that it is pathetic. Not only are we lost but we are also flawed so as soon as we get a meaningful amount of knowledge we will always twist it through our evil nature. ...

Revelation 3:18
I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.

1 Corinthians 14:38
But if anyone is ignorant, let him be ignorant.

Why waste your time trying to enlighten christians. You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make it drink.

You can not enlighten them. They are going to believe no matter what. There is no rational basis to believe in christianity, yet they believe anyway.

They will live as long as we do, but the same thing will happen when they die as well. Which is to turn to dust.

Its all about learning, so if they are interested in why we feel the way we do we should enlighten them, otherwise let them think however they'd like. Goes both ways.

Neither; the untue's of Christianity need to be 'cleaned out' from the purity of God's word presently (world-wide) then Christians may attract 'atheists' to Christianity. Unfortuneately, those deviations to God's word do exist currently. (See my current profile).
