so let's determine exactly who OWNS the land. Does Cesar OWN the land or does GOD? Maybe it's just simple thinking on my part but it seems we are all allowed to be here & enjoy this land only for a short time. Even the Bible says our life on earth is "as a vapor." Long after we are gone the land will still remain. Other people will be allowed to live on it but it still BELONGS TO GOD. God graciously provided His mercies in allowing our own White ancestors to arrive here & live here despite the fact that this country was already inhabited. Since He is the same yesterday, today & forever why would anyone think that He would not allow those same mercies to the Hispanic immigrants of today who arrive to find US as the current inhabitants?

Leviticus 25:23
" 'The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you are but aliens and my tenants."

Genesis 17:8
The whole land of Canaan, where you are now an alien, I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you; and I will be their God."

Exodus 22:21
"Do not mistreat an alien or oppress him, for you were aliens in Egypt."

Leviticus 19:10
Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the alien. I am the LORD your God.

Leviticus 19:34
The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

The Bible says God is "the same yesterday, today & forever." If that was God's instruction "yesterday" then why should we not believe that would be the same instruction He would give us "today." There is no idication or referral to "legal" or "illegal" alien because there was no such thing. One was either "alien" or "native."

The Bible also says God is "no respecter of persons" so it doesn't matter what people He was referring to. It still applies today & to all people. God never changes.

Romans 13:
1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. 2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same.

This is so self-explanitory. "FOR THERE IS NO POWER BUT OF GOD. THE POWERS THAT BE ARE ORDAINED OF GOD. " Are our laws currently in power? No. Because they are NOT ordained of God. Are our leaders currently in power? No. Because they are not ordained of God.
"FOR RULERS ARE NOT A TERROR TO GOOD WORKS BUT TO THE EVIL." Are illegals terrified of the government? No. Because they do good works to better themselves & their families.
Verse 8:
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

Considering that we have taken God & prayer out of our schools, the Ten Commandments out of our courtrooms & are lobbying to take God's name off of our money & out of our pledge of allegiance do YOU honestly feel that this is a government established by & supported by God? We are quick to demand "separation of church & state" even though this nation was supposedly founded so that our ancestors could worship God as they pleased, without the persecution that they suffered in England. Well, God will not be where He is not wanted. In the absence of God chaos reigns. The downfall of our society is a direct result of our own self-righteous thinking & behaviors. The illegals are just our latest & greatest scapegoats.

"NO other nation on the face of this earth has had to endure an invasion of this type." Interesting quote but certainly not historically accurate. I believe this VERY country was indeed invaded by Europeans not too very long ago. You're right though about the "type" of invasion being different because the previous invasion was much more violent. Our White ancestors were not quite as peaceful with the Natives as the new immigrants are with us.

I agree! Their argument is that their ancestors came here legally, yet back then anyone could come over here legally and they were even criticized for it, much like the undocumented immigrants are now.

This whole world is God's land. Generously afforded to us so that we could be enlightened by 'his' light and allow wisdom to make arrangements for the betterment of all.. Obviously we are still fixated on Israel as the motherland and the U.S. as the Judeo Christian enforcer of who may or may not reside in the real Israel.
There are people suffering all over the world. Many view our bastardization of the bible within the media as opportunity and desire entry into our great economy. This is were I believe your question focuses. Our great economy negates God in its everyday workings in order to assure its citizens the tidings of the almighty dollar. If any bit of that almighty dollar is transferred into the trust of others then it is seen as theft and Ten Commandments come prominently into play. We have put our trust in Ceasar while other nations wait for the U.S. to show more interest in destitute regions outside of what they can give our country in the form of natural resources. If we label every person conscious of this atrocity a W then indeed the world has a huge war to wage against terrorism because Jesus himself terrorized the elite by waging a war against inhumanity.
Some Christians view the use of nuclear weapons as an answer. This type of thinking only further gives politicians taking a dip, like Bush, more armament to give Caesar what is deservedly his. A long drawn out war against terrorism, immigration, all the while holding the precepts of the bible as a crutch to legitimize the inhumanity involved in the process. God did not provide his mercies in allowing your ancestors to live here. Jesus was cruxified for his beliefs just like Protestants were tossed out of Europe. When they arrived here they deviated just a little from their religious roadmap in bashing the Indians to death. Exploiting land both in North and South America. There were slaves in encomiendas in South America (not in Brazil though as those arrogant bastards claim a luxury of not being Latin American. How close to the suffering yet how concurrent to the U.S. they are in thinking they are not to be held in account but in esteem (that in itself is the crux of give to Caesar what is his and to God what is his.)
Your question brings with it a lot of emotion the kind that I know will never be weighed into the process of immigration. If everyone in the U.S. decided to move to their homeland and to retire in peace then perhaps this argument would have its day in court as the U.S. would seal its borders up so tight that no one would be able to enter or leave for that matter. Perhaps that is why they want to privatize social security and allow the wealthy a chance to reap the rewards of a great legacy.

I am not the least bit torn by your dilemma. The land is owned by the people , That's mans law. And we live our real lives under mans laws. Hispanic legal immigrants do enjoy that mercy, but all illegal aliens do not. They have their own rights in their own nation, the only right they deserve here is the right to be deported back to the country your "God' placed them in . The spoils of war have always changed the maps of the world. They always will. I obey the laws of my country and all the laws against illegal aliens and their employers must be enforced to the full letter of the law.

The Bible recognises the existence of the Canaanite god Ba'al in several places. The truth is that Christian monotheism originated in the deserts of Egypt which was formerly Polytheist. Hence the early followers were on very close guard for the old influences. In later times the Egyptian ideas were tempered with the ideas of Zoroastrianism with its bi-polar right/wrong mentality which remains the lynchpin of Christian morality to this day. Before that it was simple obedience hence Commandments, Deuteronomy etc.

Well said Firestorm! We are no longer under the Mosaic law, as Jesus fulfilled that and a new covenant was formed. (Romans 7:6) Along with that, it is human nature to want to protect what is yours. Fortunately, God will hold the Governments AND False religion accountable for the dire situations they have been responsible for. Daniel 2:44, Revelation 18:4

You are going off the point. God doesn't "own" land in the same sense as you are describing. It appears your "god" has a preference for who owns the land, as he graciously provided His mercies on the Indians who inhabited the land by causing them to suffer disease, bloodshed, and humiliation by YOUR white ancestors. Anyway, if the Hispanic immigrants were so terribly treated in the US, they wouldn't come in such large numbers. Even with their low estate, they are probably better off in the US than where they came from. PS: The person is Caesar, and the parable illustrates a different situation.

To answer your question, I keep reading that possession is 9/10th of the law. That means Americans own America.

God bless you and good luck, I hope this helped.

If you truly understood the context of your quote, you would realize that you re playing into your opponent's hands here. When Yeshua said "Render unto Ceaser that which is Ceaser's, and render unto GOD's that which is GOD's," the Pharisees were trying to trick him once again. They were trying to get him to say something against the occupying government (Rome) so he would be branded a subversive. He replied by saying that if all Rome wanted was their taxes, that was not what GOD wanted anyway. They had a method for dealing with illegal immigrants in Roman times as well, in case you are not aware of this. They crucified them, or enslaved them. I hope you are not suggesting that we follow the laws of those enlightened times!

The dominion of the earth, in case you haven't read this portion of the Bible, we given over to the fallen angel Lucifer, who was renamed Satan for his sin. I hope you are not suggesting that we follow the policies of this landlord either! You only escape this by taking sides with GOD, and your life does not get easier when you do this, as some of the fundamentalist evangelists would have you believe, because at that point, Satan begins an all out campaign to win you back.

The Bible also cites many examples of how we are supposed to set an example for others, and part of that example is following the laws of the land. If you do not appreciate the law of the land, you are free to lobby, to run for office, to demonstrate (in a legal fashion) and to speak against it, just as you are doing now. Since you cite Biblical law and claim to be subject to it however, you are not allowed to break it. It just sets a bad example for the rest of the kiddies and gives them the idea that they can do it too. Really, I thought you knew better!

I agree that some of the current laws are unreasonable, but focus your energy on changing the law,not convincing others to ignore it. Don't accept bad, ineffective law as an alternative to no law at all either. If something is worth doing, it's worth doing right. If you truly care for the Latinos, you would recognize the fact that making them in effect, indentured servants for thirteen years is not a reasonable price for the privilege of maybe becoming American citizens!

By the way, when you say that "GOD allowed our own White ancestors to arrive here and live here despite the fact that the country was already inhabited," did he also allow those White ancestors to pass out blankets infected with smallpox to decimate our new neighbors, forcibly move the natives to reservations and kill any of them that got in our way? I really don't think you want to bring GOD into that kind of argument. That kind of thinking is called Triumphalism. "America right or wrong because GOD is on our side and he told us to do it," is the argument you are supposedly fighting against!!! Your logic chain is flawed and you are arguing against yourself here.

P.S. Most of the people who claimed to have come over here for religious freedom were actually fleeing Europe because nobody could stand them anymore. they came to America to be more intolerant than anyone in Europe was allowed to be. The constitution and it's amendments were specifically crafted to eliminate the State Church. Separation of church and state also means freedom "from" religion if that is your desire. Our founding fathers were deists, Quakers, Agnostics, Unitarians, and Jewish. The Fundamentalist version of American History has been completely debunked by fact. Quit trying to argue with the truth, and quit quoting out of context and only from the sections that (you seem to think) prove your argument. You have lost the battle and continue to fight the war.

18,000 years before Jesus, god was a woman. When the concept of ownership, specifically land ownership gained coin, woman fell off the pedestal, a man-god dominated and woman became property herself. So, the ownership thing... it came way, way, way, well before the quote from Jesus. So, render onto Caesar what belongs to Caesar. America is a land of laws, founded by lawyers.

That quote has to do with obeying the law of the land. Follow God but obey the law. crossing over illegally is not obeying the law.
