no, candied pineapple has in essence been "cooked" by the drying process before being candied. Cooking destroys the enzymes that assist in wt loss. Not only that, you add mega calories with the sugar involved.

um, no. Candied pineapple is just that.. candy. It's freeze dried and covered in sugar, which basically leaves it with very little of pineapple's good nutrients. Same goes for canned pineapple...it's not freeze-dried but it's packed in corn syrup, which is, in essence, liquid sugar.
Just so you know, there's no one food item that can magically shed off the pounds. But a slice of pineapple contains only about 40 calories and no fat. It's a good addition to any healthy eating regime. Also, it contains the enzyme Bromolina, which is a natural anti-inflammatory agent that is good for your skin and muscles. On top of all that, pineapple is full of vitamin C and pectin, which aids in digestion and helps curb bloating after meals.
Hope this helps!

no food is definitely known to cause weight loss. candied fruit has too much fructose and probably has preservatives to keep it fresh. plus added sugar.
