And in the dream, he asked me out four times. But also this guy used to be my boyfriend but he broke up with me, and i was really sad. I never moved on, and i wish he would just ask me out again (but not just in my dreams) because i am still in love with him.

Unless you have a history of having visions instead of dreams, then it is just a dream. You are wishing something so badly that your subconcious is making you dream about it. Some people actually have visions, where they see what will happen in the future. If you have a history of that, then wow! Get ready for a date!

Chances are he was on your mind before you fell asleep and therefore he was in your dreams. Since you still love him that would explain why he kept asking you out. You may want to talk to him about going out again or move on.

You dreamed it because it was on your mind and that is what you want to happen. It clearly is a subconscious thought that you have and you are letting it out in your dreams.
