That give a later date for the writing of the New Testament? I'd really like to know where this assumption comes from.
No disrespect intended towards anyone, I'm only curious!

For the record, I believe that it was all written by the end of the 1st century. But I know of many who believe otherwise.

You are correct. By the beginning of the 20th century some "scholars" started a school of thought that postulated a later date for the writing of New Testament Scripture in an attempt to undermine the authority of the Bible and the deity of Jesus. This form of textual criticism has been dismissed by believing Bible scholars in America and elsewhere.

I have no sources to list, but faith is faith. Anyone of faith should know that Mt. Lk. Mk and John where written (or transcribed) during their life times, We know that Paul wrote, so many books, Romans, Phill, Eph., Cho. on and on , while he was alive, preaching and in prison. The last book was wrote by John on Patmos while he was still living. These "books" or letters to the churches would have be wrote in the life times of these men. Of course others try to discredits this, It would be nice to see them show some balance and attack Islam or Hinduism for a change, but at the same time this just reinforces what Christ Said, "they will hate you as they hate me"

a couple of weeks ago i watched a documentary called 'who wrote the bible', presented by the christian theologian Dr. Robert Beckford. he didn't seem to worry about the late dating of when the books of the new testament were written, he fully accepted them and i believe there is no credible evidence for an earlier date.
