They are vomiting because they are trying to rid themselves of "food" they can't digest. Retrievers and Labs often have problems eating things they shouldn't. As long as the dogs are drinking, they won't dehydrate which is a consequence of vomiting.
If they stop drinking, call the Animal Shelter for help. If the owner calls, inform them immediately and ask what you should do. Either way you need to keep a close watch on the dogs to be sure they don't eat ANYTHING else that is not actual food.
The dogs have probably done this before. It sounds like "non-sock-eater" may be feeling better soon. Dogs will grow listless and tired when sick. If they are not better in 24 hours and you have not heard from the owner, call the Animal Shelter anyway for help.

My dogs will get like this when we're not at home.
They're most likely just nervous because the family isn't there. Dogs will tend to freak out when the original owners aren't there and literally tear apart the house from being so frazzled.
Plus they really don't eat when they're nervous. They just drink water.
It will most likely stop once the owners get back. But to stop it for now, you really can't do much. Maybe get a towel or something that smells like one of the owners as a comfort piece.
Keep trying to contact the family. It just might be the dogs' regular personalities.
Hope I helped!

Yikes you have your hands full! The dogs are most likely very home sick and that could be the reason they wont eat, but, the chewing is behavior, they probably did the same thing at home. The veggie oil wont hurt so go ahead and give them some and I would continue to try to get the owners advice.

Man, you've got you're hands full there. First of all, make a check of the house and remove garbage, anything (socks), that they may eat. This behaviour could be seperation anxiety. Leave only their food and water. Watch them. If the one doesn't eat, call vet if you cannot talk w/owner. Good luck.

Try to contact the owners of the animals. As someone said before, they are probably just nervous that the owners are away. I would call the owners or call a vet.
Hope the dogs are OK =P
P.S you should be glad they're a drinking water!!! :]]

No vegetable oil!!!! Get them to a vet - you are looking at a very likely intestinal obstruction with a sock and the dog's life is at risk. Get off the computer and go now - this is an emergency.

I would get in touch with the owners and let them know the dogs are not feeling well and maybe they might want you to take them to the vet . did the owners not leave an emergency phone number ? if not that was irresponsible maybe you could get in touch with their family . they need to see a vet asap. I would try all in my power to get in touch with their family owners . good luck .
