Christians, I think it is time to stop the debate with atheists. Is not because if you debate with them they gonna convince you, but because it is wasting time.

I don't think God send people to argue with atheists. Christians, do not try to demonstrate that God exist. We know he exists. Nature can tell us that.

I am sure many atheists fake being Christians here just to say "I am Christian and I agree with what that atheists said." Just let Atheists be what they want to be. Don't be stocked trying to explain things to people who do not want to listen.

Don try to inculcate your belief on them. Let's stop answering the "if, what if............." questions always make. To create a fight, there has to be two or more fighters. I think it is time to stop. Let atheists ask their own questions. Time is precious and should not be wasted.

Go ahead, bury your head in the sand. Logic triumphs over delusion once again.

If you are a christian and have read the gospels Jesus says go out and spread the word . So debating with atheists is a part of following Christ . I understand it can be frustrating when you come across hostile and very blinkered atheists but we have got to try to make them see that there is more to life than this. But always debate in a polite way with love it is unhelpful and unchristian to attack and put down others.

The reason atheists argue with Christians or adherents to all the other religions is because it is maddening to know that society COULD function on reason and that morality COULD be based on the best course for ALL to be happy and prosperous. Instead we see the irrational, the superstitious, the fear-mongers, and the zealots attempting to shape the world to conform to each religion's differing interpretation of their supreme being's "will" or to use their religion as some kind of unquestionable justification for their behavior - however misguided. I would find this all absurd or humorous if I didn't have to live in this world, too. Instead I just find it sad and discouraging. I want the world to be a better place. As long as the religions keep trying to oppose facts with superstition and attempt to impose their conflicting collection of fantasies for reality, I feel the need to voice my objection instead of standing idly by.

To do that would be both anti-Christian and Anti-American and anti- the idea of a question.

I could care less if some (not all not by a long shot) atheist want to make fun of me here, any more then i care that Conservatives (not all, but more then the atheist) want to make fun of me on the political section. Seems to me that it is our duty on all levels to keep right on plugging

(And I say this next part with no intention of offending atheist)

What if when Jesus was going to the cross He said "You know the heck with this, I'm outta here these people will never learn" and just left. Where would we be?

LOL

You are cute. While you are right, too many other Christians feel it is their duty to tell about god. It is your "Great Commission" not mine.

The idea that "atheist fake being Christian" is hilarious, since it happens all the time that Christians fake being atheist too.

The fact of the matter is, I will listen to your evidence. I am interested in what you have to say, but I am not going to swallow it whole just because YOU believe it. I will listen, and I will question. That is what real, honest debate is. You don't want real, honest debate, you want me to accept Christian BS and call it New York Strip.

im sure if we all adopted this approach, these discussions would be very interesting....

much of the time people want a variety of views! thats what we're giving, atheists and theists alike.

many christians share their faith on here so that others may share the gospel of Jesus and recieve salvation through him. we just know good news that we want to share, thats natural xx

Correct but I never debate with them I stress certain point with them only if I feel that they are truly curious because sometimes they are just trying to twist the word of God up for their benefits are for their pleasurse...Smiles to you great point by the way..but always spread the word of God but remember God said whosoever will do not force anyone because God does not force anyone he suggest...so we should suggest not force.

The moment you cease 'what if', you separate yourself from all knowledge. Hypotheticals are the start of all understanding.

"What would it be like to ride a beam of light?" -- Albert Einstein, led to first Specific Theory of Relativity, later General Theory of Relativity.

"Is it possible that dream had something to do with the actual bonding in benzene?" -- Kekulé, discoverer of the bonding structure of Benzene.

It is said that there are no stupid questions, but this is because knowledge requires questioning.

Stupidity isn't a lack of knowledge, it's a lack of questions.

I do believe that you are crying. Poor lad. Wasting his time asking a question about others wasting their time asking questions. Those fake people are wasting your fake time.

wait a sec, wasn't it "god's word" to spread christianity? and you're giving up? although, your "fights" don't serve you that much. when i first doubted "god's" existence, i came here and looked around. i must say, part of the reason i turned to atheism came from past arguments.

Well, I refuse to "fight" with them, but I love a good debate too much to back down.
